PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!! - Convention 2014 Contest and Info

Hello my friends!

I know my blog has been quiet...I am away at SU!'s Inspire.Create.Share. Convention 2014 in Salt Lake City Utah!  Last night (Thursday) I attended a Master's Class and I am now in a contest.  PLEASE consider helping me out!  I need you to click on the pinterest link that I have provided here and simply "LIKE" and "REPIN" my entry!!  The more action my pin gets the more likely I can win!!

Meanwhile, I thought I would share a bit of what we have been doing so far.  On Tuesday my little group and I spent the day touring the Utah Olympic Park in Park City, Utah.  We were able to watch the freestyle and Nordic ski jumpers training in both a specialized jump/pool and on the actual jumps they use in the Olympics!  I was amazing!  Of course watching all of the action caused the adrenaline for some of us to flair up and we had to get in on some action!  While at the park we found they had an extreme zip line..... OF COURSE I DID!!

This is Mel and I getting geared up and ready to go!  I'm wearing a GoPro camera so that I could catch all the live action!  (video posted below!)

After spending some time at the Olympic Park we ventured to the Kennecott Copper Mine/Bingham Canyon.  OMG!  What an adventure.  In 2013 the area suffered a landslide.  As a result the visitor road, visitor's center, and gift shops were wiped out.  That means that most people do NOT get to see the mine/canyon....NOT US!  We ventured 10,000 feet up, about 10 miles drive, on a road definitely NOT fit for travel.  It became a single lane, gravel, hairpin turned, very scary adventure...but we made it!

Yes, we survived and lived to tell about it!  After getting ourselves back to the hotel, we ventured for dinner to Christopher's Prime Steak House.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's post for our next day of convention fun!!!

Lots of Thanks - Bonus Video!!

Hey everyone!  Thanks for visiting today!

I am thrilled to share a very simple yet stunning set of Thank You notes!  These delightful projects were created by my adorable assistant, Marlene!   She made 50 of them in various colors for me to take to Inspire. Create. Share. Convention 2014 to swap out for her!

They showcase our banner framelits, a couple of our punches and several different bows using both ribbon and linen thread!

take a close look at the cards in the top picture and look at how absolutely perfect the bows are!  This is because Marlene used my "Perfect Bow" technique!  Want to learn how??  Scroll down to the video below (Which has been on my YouTube channel for some time now!)

Enjoy!...be sure to share your perfect bows with me!

Hot, Hot, Hot Blog Hop

Hey my friends!  It is that time again!  The 15th of the month means it is time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!!!  That means 13 fabulous blogs for you to visit and be inspired by!

Our theme this month - HOT, HOT, HOT means that we have some creative summer ideas for you!  If you came here from Judy's Blog then you are in the right place.  If you are one of my regular blog followers, be sure to click the next blog link below and keep following until you have seen all 13 creations!

The project that I am sharing with you is one that I was inspired by when I was on my Caribbean cruise a couple of months ago!  This fabulous card was one I cased from a swap received.  If I had the name of the person who did the original art work, I would certainly credit him or her but I don't have that info.

The card base is from Warm Brown Sugar cardstock.  The second layer is Crisp Cantaloupe, and the next layer is Coastal Cabana.  The images are from the By The Tide stamp set and scream of HOT, HOT, HOT aka...summer to me!

Hop on over to Lee's blog now for your next dose of summer fun! Click the next blog button and you will arrive!  Be sure to visit me tomorrow for a fun video on a creative and fool proof way to tie a bow EVERY time!

Home of the Brave Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!  If you just joined me from Judy's blog, you are in the right place!  If you are one of my regular followers then you are in for a special treat!  This month this incredible group of stampers are sharing our theme, "HOME OF THE BRAVE" with you all!

For my share, I thought I would show you the home decor item that I created for my monthly banner club!  Using the canvas banner kit from the SU! Idea Book & Catalog, I couldn't resist making a patriotic banner with the good 'ole red, white, and blue!  Not only is this good for the upcoming July 4th celebration, but it is also a great banner to display for Memorial Day, Veteran's Day, and for the summer in general!

I used the XL Sizzix Rosette Die to create the buntings for each of the banners.  I added a few scraps of ribbon and our new Star Framelits to create some embellishments just to give it a bit more of a boost!

Please be sure to hop on over to the next blog!  Janet has something awesome to show you!  Click on the next blog link below and you will arrive at the next stop on your journey!

Congrats on that Think you Did!

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all enjoying this fabulous weather we have been having!  I know I certainly have!  It is so long overdue I can't even stand it!!!

Today I am sharing a project that I made for one of my students!  On Sunday, June 8th, I will be accompanying on of my students to a special awards banquet in her honor!  She has been selected as the Scholar Leader for our entire 8th grade and she asked me if I would please join her for the celebration!  I am honored!

Of course I had to create a card just for her!  Using the Retro Fresh Journaling tags, I created this great project just for her!  Congrats to Katie!!
