Fiji Final Night

All good things must come to an end....at least that is how the saying goes!  I can tell you that saying good bye to the beautiful Fiji Islands and to all my SU! buddies was VERY difficult!

On our final night, SU! treated us to an amazing evening of entertainment and food!  It was held outside on the lawn of the resort and all 400+ of us dined and gathered together!

My pal Dawn G. and me!

One of the natives

Katelyn and Brielle with one of the tiki statues

I took this so you could see the size of the group!

While we were waiting to be served our dinner, we were treated to some native fire dancers and then a group of local children sang so beautifully to us all!  What an incredible evening!

Fiji - Helping Others In Need

Because I can not say it any better than the words of Stampin' Up's!  CEO, Shelli Gardner, I have decided to share what she had to say on her website about helping the people of Fiji and making a difference while we were there!

"For us, the highlight was definitely the service project. We planned an optional half-day service project for any demonstrators who wanted to participate, and approximately 200 demonstrators and guests joined us at a Fiji hospital and orphanage, providing valuable work. We went to the hospital and sanded, painted, did yard work, and other general clean-up chores. A smaller group went to the orphanage and folded laundry, read to kids,  and papercrafting (a huge hit!). Loved the opportunity to turn our yearlong “Making a Difference for 25 Years” theme into action!"

I also couldn't resist sharing this awesome picture of the Gardner clan!  Yup! That's right, each and every one of them worked right along side all of us to make the both the hospital and the orphanage a better place!

I LOVE being part of a company that makes such a significant difference in the lives of so many and does so willingly and with such grace and elegance!  Thank you all for being a part of my Stampin' Up! business and giving me the opportunity to inspire all of you to create and share your creativity with others!  I LOVE you all!!

Fiji - Our Own Private Island.....

Hey everyone!

For our next Fijian adventure, we decided to spend the day on our own private island......ok, not really but it sure did seem like it!  We took a high speed catamaran from Denaureau Island to South Sea Island.  South Sea is an uninhabited island with a beach covered in coral, the sand is made up primarily of crushed shells, and there are some lounge chairs, a bar, volleyball net, and some palm covered huts to shade you if you wish!

Yup!  This is the whole island!  this is the breathtaking view from the catamaran!

In addition, the island offered us a chance to see under the water in a flat bottomed semi-submersible submarine!  Here is a photo of that too!

We were able to snorkel too! I saw some of the most
amazing fish too!  We also got to see a stingray and an octopus!  The scenery was absolutely amazing and probably my favorite day of my Fiji trip!

The starfish there are incredibly large and very blue in color!

I spent the majority of my day lying around staring at the water and my feet of course!

Soon enough I will have to get back to reality...but for now I'm on Fiji time!

Zip Fiji.........

 Hello everyone!

Another facinating day in Fiji!  Katelyn and I decided to be adventurous today and went to a Zip Line adventure!

What we didn't realize is that it was a 3-1/2 hour trip there and therefore a 3-1/2 hour trip back!  We were able to run the zip line course twice which was awesome!

In addition to zipping, we got to repel!  That was awesome too!  We learned a new Fijian word today...Winanavoo which means awesome!

We are having a great time and miss all of you!  Stay tuned!
