Finally received my back-orderd SU! X-Large Bird Punch...and I couldn't be happier!  He is so adorable isn't he?  With a little bit of sponging and some dimensionals he really looks like he is sitting on the tall grass.  Made this card for special friends of ours who recently lost a loved one.  I had sympathy cards but I wanted them to know we were thinking about them.  In addition, I am in a hurry for Spring and thought this would be something to comfort them.

Have Some Heart!

My customers loved the circular sweet treat cups, so I decided I had to do something to turn them on to the heart-shaped sweet treat cups.  I created the card to the left using the Sweetheart stamp set (#120415).  The cardstock is Regal Rose, Rose Red, and Whisper White.  The ink colors are Rose Red, Mellow Moss, and Bashful Blue.  I also used the Full Heart Punch (#113693), 1-1/4" circle punch, and 1" circle punch! 

The 2nd sample uses the coordinating Heart Treat Cups (#120435), but the same color scheme.

So have some heart and give a note of thanks with a special treat!

Instructions
Punch scallop strip from Old Olive textured card stock with Scallop Edge punch. Adhere to card.
Adhere strip of Whisper White card stock to card over scallop strip.
Stamp heart image in Real Red ink on square of Whisper White card stock.
Punch out center of heart image with Full Heart punch. Insert Heart Treat Cup and fill.
Peel off adhesive cover and adhere Heart Treat Cup to card.
Stamp Heartfelt Thanks in Bashful Blue on card.
Tie Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon around card.
Stamp leaves and bird image in Old Olive and Crushed Curry ink on Whisper White card stock. Cut out and adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Instructions
Adhere strip of Bashful Blue textured card stock to center of card.
Adhere to Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon to card.
Stamp Be Mine in Old olive ink on square of Whisper White card stock.
Punch out center of heart image with Full Heart punch. Insert Heart Treat Cup and fill.
Peel off adhesive cover and adhere Heart Treat Cup to a second square of Whisper White card stock to seal the cup.
Punch scallops from Real Red textured card stock with Scallop Edge punch. Adhere scallops to back of Whisper White square.
Adhere Whisper White square to card.

Oh How I Love My Downline!!!

You will notice that this card also has a "shimmer" look to it!  This is the beauty of SU! shimmer paint.  Use an empty stampin' mist bottle (cleaned out) and fill it 2/3 of the way with rubbing alcohol.  Choose a SU! shimmer paint (I chose Frost White) and shake it well.  Pour some of the paint into the alcohol and then shake.  You must shake it because the paint is much heavier than the alcohol and it will go to the bottom!  Mist/spray some of your solution on a scrap piece of cardstock and let it dry.  Add more paint if more shimmer is desired!  ENJOY!!

Vogue Vintage - with a Shimmer!

I am in love!!!  with SU! shimmer paint!! and everything else about SU! if you haven't already guessed!

I created this card using the new Vogue Vintage stamp set from the SU! Occasions Mini catalog.  The colors are Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, and Naturals Ivory.  If you look closely at the card you will see little speckles of "shimmer"  that is the new technique that I am in LOVE with!

Peek-a-Boo Resist...at least that is what I call it!

I have a group of stampers (3rd Wednesday of each month) that I love to make happy!  Last month they were all talking about this tool that they owned...a brayer... and forgot what to do with it.  I went on a search to find the perfect project for them!  I wanted to use something old and something new, as well as the BRAYER!!  In addition, I wanted to use the color challenge issued by SU! this month.  The color challenge was that of purples, gold/summer sun, and green.  Thanks to a sample I found on Stampin Connection, I was able to meet the needs of the challenge, using a new stamp set called Vogue Vintage, from the Occasions Mini, as well as the Medallion stamp from the big Idea Book and Catalog, and most of all the BRAYER that they so want to use again!  Here is the sample and a special thanks to Deb Naylor!

Well I have finally ventured into the world of SU!'s jewelry line...Simply Adorned!  I love having a conversational piece around my neck!  Here are my first 5 creations for my 1" x 1-1/4" Simply Adorned Locket/Charm.  What do you think?

I must go on record as saying, "I am NOT a seamstress!" (Just ask my friend Lucy!)  I have a VERY inexpensive Brother sewing machine that I have had for about 20 years!  I can NOT follow a pattern but I do have some creativity and can see things in my mind, draw them on paper and then try to bring them to life.  I have seen many purses, rag bags, and rag quilts recently and I decided to try my hand at it too!  Here is what I came up with!
