Rock -n- Roll Technique - With All My Heart

Isn't this a simple but beautiful card?!  I thought so!  Using the "With All My Heart" - Item #118134 (Wood) / #118623 (Clear) stamp set, I created this simple beauty!  The focal point was done using the large flourish from the set and a technique called "Rock-n-Roll".  It gives the image a tie-dye look.  Select two coordinating colors (one darker than the other).   Ink the image well in the lighter of the two.  I used Crushed Curry to start.  Then "Roll" the stamp on the outside edge in the darker ink.  I used Melon Mambo for my 2nd color.  To step it up, I used the pinking hearts edger punch and some Melon Mambo polka-dot ribbon!

Cardstock:  Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Patterned paper from the Sweet Pea Paper Stack.

Ink:  Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay

Accessories:  Pinking Hearts Edge Punch, Melon Mambo polka-dot ribbon.

If you'd like to order the products to reproduce this card, contact me today!

My Digital Studio Q & A - Printing/Project Options

Create scrapbook pages, cards, photo albums, calendars, and more. Print your creations at home or use our professionalprinting services. Create digital only designs to use for interactive albums and more.

Q: What are the prices of print products?

A: Pricing of print products will vary based on size, number of pages, and cover option. Pricing information will be posted on the web site when we announce the launch date.

Q: Are there minimum and maximum page limits on print products?

A: Minimum and maximum pages for each print output type are as follows:

  • Photo albums must have a minimum of 22 pages, and can have up to 100 pages.
  • Calendars have a minimum and maximum of 25 project pages. You can create a front cover page and two pages for each month.
  • Cards have a minimum of one project page and a maximum of three project pages. The customer has the option to create the front and both inside pages.
  • Individual pages can be printed in multiples of no less than five.

Q: Do I have to use the professional print service or can I print at home?

A: My Digital Studio has several output options including your own printer and multimedia/DVD creation. Using Stampin' Up!'s professional print services is the best way, however, to make sure Stampin' Up!'s exclusive colors print correctly.

Q: What can we expect for shipping times for print products?

A: Professionally printed products will be printed and shipped directly from our print vendor. There will be a processing time of two to three days to have your project actually printed, and then our standard shipping times will apply.

Q: Will the copyright appear on the back of my home-printed cards?

A: The Stampin' Up!/My Digital Studio copyright will appear on the back of all cards printed through the professional print services. It will not appear on the back of cards you print from home.

Q: Will my pages print back-to-back from my home printer?

A: Different printers have varying functionality. You will need to check your printer manual to determine if this functionality is available.

Q: What home printer do you recommend I buy?

A: Stampin' Up! cannot recommend a specific printer for you, but the system requirements information and knowing what types of projects you want to create will help you decide which printer will work best for you.

Q: How does professional printing impact Stampin' Up!'s shipping policy?

A: Stampin' Up! works with an external print supplier to fulfill orders placed for My Digital Studio's professional print services. As such, printed items are shipped directly from the print supplier, and not from Stampin' Up!'s regular distribution center. If an order consists of only professionally printed products (excluding cards), standard Stampin' Up! shipping charges are applied. Shipping costs for cards are dependent on the number of cards ordered and are defined in the My Digital Studio Shipping Policy. If an order consists of both printed and traditional products, a small split shipping fee will be assessed, as packages will be shipped from two different locations to fulfill the order.

My Digital Studio - Q & A - Part 3

Q: What is the difference between selecting to create a Photo Album, Card, Calendar, and Multiple Output Options?

A: The Photo Album, Card, or Calendar options allow you to select your project size and type up front. The Multiple Output Options allows you to select the size up front, or change the size of the project after you are finished.

Q: The software agreement allows for installation on two computers in my home. Can I also install the application on a second computer where I work or in another location outside of my home?

A: The software license agreement allows you to install one copy of the software on two computers in your primary residence. If you want to also install the software on a computer in another location you can purchase another copy to do so.

Saturday, March 20, 2010

My Digital Studio Q & A - Part 2

Q: Can I share my software with my family/friends/downline?

A: During the installation process, each demonstrator or customer will be asked to accept an End User License Agreement. This agreement allows each copy of the software to be installed on two computers in the household.

Q: How much does My Digital Studio cost?

A: My Digital Studio costs $79.95.

Q: Why should my customers purchase My Digital Studio when they can download other applications for free?

A: There are several advantages in ordering My Digital Studio:
  • Stampin' Up! Digital Content: Thousands of Stampin' Up! images are included in the software for an excellent value. These images and pre-designed templates are exclusive to Stampin' Up!, and cannot be found in other applications.
  • Exclusive Stampin' Up! Colors: No other application has Stampin' Up! exclusive colors. This is especially important for making hybrid (projects that combine traditional Stampin' Up! products layered on top of digital creations) projects.
  • Robust Features and Functionality: My Digital Studio is a user friendly, intuitive program designed specifically for digital scrapbooking and card making. Combining a robust group of features, multiple output options, strong photo editing capabilities, and the ability to add multimedia elements such as hot spot links, music, narration, and video to your projects, My Digital Studio is simply a better application than you can get on the web.

  • Professional Print Services: The only way to take advantage of our high quality professional print services is to upload your projects through My Digital Studio. If you have downloaded content for use in other applications, you will not be able to use our services.

Find more videos like this on Stampin' Up!

Mighty Medallion

I just can't get enough of the Medallion Stamp Set!

This sample was created by a member of my downline - Heidi W.  She used whisper white and soft suede card stocks.  In addition, she used white embossing powder to create the medallion and then did a technique called reverse resist!  She sponged soft suede ink all around the medallion in order to really make it "POP"!

It is finished off with a 1/2 pearl from the SU! pretties kit!  I think it is absolutely fabulous!!  Great job Heidi!

Luck 'O The Irish

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

I created this card for a special couple!  My good friends Dave & Ann Marie have a fabulous St. Patrick's Day Party every year and we are always on the guest list!  I thought I would give them a little bit of sparkle to match their sparkling personalities!

It was created using the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set from Stampin' Up! - Item #118571.  The stem of the Shamrock was created using the new XLarge Bird Punch...also from Stampin' Up!

I dressed it up using the scallop trim punch!  The color combo is Glorious Green and Very Vanilla!

I'd love to show you how to make it!

Decor Elements - Chalkboard

Did you know that SU!'s newest addition to the Decor Elements line is chalkboard?  This has become my new favorite!  I added the wall element shown above in my kitchen to keep track of the grocery list!  Everyone loves to use it---therefore the groceries get purchased!  Just like the other elements, it is easy to put up and when you want to erase it, simply wipe it with a damp cloth, let it dry and you are ready to re-use it!  I sent my daughter several of these to use in her dorm so that her dorm-mates could leave her messages without harming the walls or doors!

You will find all of the chalkboard elements in the little catalog below (click the link below the picture).  They are on the first two pages of the catalog!

Decor Elements - #2

Yesterday I posted some pictures of Decor Elements used in my home.  Did you know that you can also use them to decorate items other than your walls?  How about a large glass jar?  How about a canvas bag?  How about a bulletin board?  or How about my car?!!!!!!

Here is a picture of a gift jar that I created for my friend Ashley to welcome her new baby Addison.  The outside of the jar has Decor Elements!

To really get creative, I decided to use them to decorate my car!  Of course the day I did it my husband had to use my car and he felt is was too "girly" for him to drive!  I have a solution!  I bought a Decor Element for him (he doesn't know it yet)!  As soon as it arrives, I will be decorating his car too!  In the meantime, here is mine!

A "Tweet" Birthday

I just LOVE SU!'s new punch - Extra Large Two-Step Bird - Item #117191 - $15.95.  It is the focal point of this birthday card that I created.  When at Leadership in January, Lynsey Mahon demonstrated a beautiful card using the pre-cut, pre-scored whisper white note cards found on Page 168 of the Big Idea Book and Catalog.  These cards are sold in packs of 20 and include the envelopes for only $6.95!! (Item #107301).  She inspired me to take advantage of this great resource---and this is what I came up with!  For the finishing touch, I added the 5/8" Brocade Blue Grosgrain Ribbon - Item #109057 - $7.95

March Club Creation

Inspired by the work of Kelly Acheson, I created this card that I am demonstrating to all of my club groups this month!  I earned the stamp set at Founder's Circle in September and have had to keep it under wraps until the Spring Mini came out! I used the new stamp set called, Something Sweet (Item-#118589 - $19.95).  The colors are real red, basic black, and whisper white.  Other accessories include - Sweet Treat cups, polka-dot embossing folder, the new small heart punch (Spring Mini), real red craft ink, clear embossing powder, dimensionals.  If you would like to learn how to make this card or get into a monthly club, please contact me today!

Likeable Lion - SU! Punch Art

I did a workshop the other night and wanted to make something special for my hostess.  She has two small children who love animals and she loves punch art...so my likeable lion was the obvious choice.  I can not take credit for the original idea, as I saw it somewhere...but don't remember where!  So sorry to whomever it belongs to!

I used this as my demo item at the start of the workshop.  I had 4 brand new customers there and they were in awe that a few punches could create something so adorable!

I used:

Scallop Circle punch - Item #109043 - $15.95 - Mane
5 Petal Flower punch -Item #109041 - $15.95 - Ears

Jane's February Creation

Each month I meet with several club groups.  As part of our monthly ritual, we swap cards!  It has been awesome!  I love seeing what my customers do with their SU! product.  This month, February 2010, my customer Jane swapped this beautiful card.  Although the colors are now retired, the idea is fabulous!  Wouldn't this make a great July 4th invite??

She used the Large and Small star punches from SU!, as well as the NEW Polka-Dot embossing folder for the Big Shot!  Way to go Jane!
