Zoo Animals - Punch Art!

Punch Art Scrapbooking

Today's post is showcasing how SU! punches can be used to create the most adorable scrapbook pages!  These pages were created for friends who is expecting their first child in September.  The baby's room is going to be decorated with cute zoo/safari animals and as a result...these were created!  Other than the long necks of the girraffe's, the remaining pieces were all created with SU! punches!

The girraffes are so stinkin' cute that they were worthy of a close up...thus the next photo for you to truly appreciate them!  lol  If you'd like to learn how to use your punches for more than layering stamped sayings, call me today to schedule an in-home workshop and I can teach you and your friends how to make some creative punch art!

All A Flutter - Embossed

All A Flutter
Dry and Heat Embossing

This beauty has both dry (Big Shot) and Heat embossing techniques!  I used the All A Flutter stamp and stamped it in VersaMark ink on vellum cardstock.  I then used white emboss powder and the SU! heat tool.  After embossing I layered the vellum on a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock.  The overall card is done with Lavendar Lace and the polka-dot layer is Almost Amethyst.  It is finished off with a piece of Eggplant grosgrain ribbon and the greeting is from the new stamp set called Favorite Thoughts - Item #116968 $15.95 - Wood Mount / Item #120048 $11.95 Clear Mount.

All A Flutter

I recently purchased the new single stamp - All A Flutter - Item #118284 - $6.95 from the new Summer Mini Catalog.  I decided to take some time to experiment with it and see what I could do.  I had a ball!  Over the next few days I will be posting several samples that I created using this "one hit wonder"!!  I LOVE it!  Perhaps it is my love of the spring/summer months that make me like it so much!

This card was made using Lavendar Lace Cardstock.  The layer (textured with the Perfect Polka Dot Texture embossing folder - Item #117335 - $7.95) is made with Almost Amethyst.  Both of these colors will be retired as of June 30th.  I then used my 1-3/8" and my 1-1/4" square punches to create the backgrounds for my butterflies.  I stamped the two butterfilies on whisper white cardstock and used my blender pens and pastels to put some color in their wings. I then cut them out and used dimensionals to give them some "pop"!

A card for that special Guy

I needed a card for a special young man and this is what developed!  I used the Specialty Designer Serie Paper called - To the Nines!  This is probably the best DSP that SU! has ever had!  The colors are Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, and Close to Cocoa.  I used the X-Large Star punch, and the corner rounder punch for the focal point.  I then stamped the Congratulations on the DSP with Chocolate Chip Ink!
