Just for You Pouch / Just Believe

Yesterday I shared my Just Believe card from convention and the "stepped up" version that I created from it.  Today I wanted to share another sample showcasing the stamp set:

Just Believe (Page 109 of I.B.C.)- #116948 (w) - $33.95 / #120453 (c) - $25.95

This is a pouch card and uses Pear Pizzazz cardstock for the pouch and the mini cards inside are made from pear pizzazz, peach parfait, and daffodil delight.  This is what the card looks like when it is closed.

The card is created by using a piece of 12" x 12" cardstock.  It is cut 3-1/2" x 12" and then scored at 5-1/4" and 10-1/2".  The "pouch" is created by using the Word Window Punch - Item #119857 - $15.95 (see next photo for placement)  Cut the corners off on the top flap of the card so that they will tuck into the word window hole.  This creates the pouch.

The inside of the pouch contains miniature friend cards that were created by cutting 2 each of three colors (daffodil delight, pear pizzazz, peach parfait) into 1-1/2" x 3" and then scoring them at 1-1/2".  Here is the inside!

.......Until tomorrow!

Just Believe

Some Things Have to Be Believed

This was one of the projects for our make & takes at this year's Stampin' Up! Convention.  I absolutely LOVE this stamp set!  It is the very first set I purchased from the new catalog!  (I couldn't wait for convention to get it for FREE, that's how much I liked it!)

STAMPS
Just Believe - (w) 116948 -$33.95 / (c) 120453 - $25.95

INK
Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz
ACCESSORIES & TOOLS
Mini Square Whisper White Envelopes
Bone Folder
Big Shot
Circles #2 Originals Die
Stamp-a-ma-jig
Stamping Sponges

INSTRUCTIONS
1.  Cut circle from Crubm Cake card stock using Big Shot and Circles #2 die.
2.  Place mask over front of card.  Use sponge and dabbing motion to apply Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, and Pear Pizzazz ink to the exposed circle on card front to create desired effect.
3.,  Ink plant image with Early Espresso ink.  Stamp once on scrap paper then stamp on card, using stamp-a-ma-jig for placement.
4.  Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso ink on card, using stamp-a-ma-jig for placement.
5.  Stamp plant image in Pear Pizzazz ink on front of envelope.

I LOVE this little card.  I think it is perfect as a "gift" card.  If I were going to send it as a greeting card, I would want to step it up a little.  The next picture is my "stepped up" card.  I used the same 3" x 3" mini card on the front but added a few layers and some Early Espresso 1/4" taffeta ribbon!  I LOVE the result!!

Final Day of Convention! :(

So today was the final day of Convention 2010!  :(  I'm sad because I will be leaving my friends for another year; but happy too because I get to get home to my family and friends.  Today was a holiday in Utah; Pioneer Day!  They celebrate the day that Utah became a state with a huge parade through downtown Salt Lake City.  This was the view this morning from our hotel room!  If you look closely at the street, you will see the floats starting to line up.

Once at the convention center we enjoyed our last opening session and then went to pick up our make & take materials and then took off to do a little shopping!  We returned to the convention center for lunch and had a little picnic "in the woods".  lol  We missed our little country homes!

One of the hightlights today was the swap I participated in.  This was a "manly" card swap!  Have you ever seen 87 woman doing a swap?!!  Here is a picture of only part of the line.

After the swap it was off to the FINAL session!  :(  We had some great presentations and ideas presented and got to see our new products demonstrated!  During the final session, Shelli reported that there were going to be changes at Stampin' Up! in the coming months.  She didn't go into great detail but mentioned some of the ideas as downline roll-up, compensation plans, hostess plan changes, as well as others.  She did say that they are in the brainstorming phase and more detail would be presented at Leadership.  The final exciting announcement was the announcement of FREE product from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog!!!!!  We always LOVE FREE product!!  Shelli gave all 2,800 attendees a bundle of products!

Here we are with our FREEBIES!!!We each recieved a full package of the new Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper, a Cherry Cobbler classic ink pad, the new level 2 hostess set from the upcoming mini catalog, and a container of Glass Glitter!  also a brand new product from the upcoming mini!

I have a few convention card swap pictures for you tomorrow, as I will be travelling home and not able to do a live blog post!  I will be back to normal next week!

....Until tomorrow!

Brent Steele Plays the Banjo

For those of you that know Brent Steele, Creative Servcies VP, at Stampin' Up! you know that he is a very talented man.  Not just stamping talent, but he is also very musically inclined, as are many other Stampin' Up! employees.  This week we were also entertained by Bonnie Thurber and Jill Kockerhans.

The following video was the opening for Brent's presentation on Friday, July 23, 2010!  Enjoy!

Convention - Day 4 - Salt Lake City

Holy Cow!  What a night last night!!  Have I told you lately how much I LOVE Stampin' Up! ???  Where else can you work for a Company that rewards you for doing what you love?!!!!

I know you have all been waiting to hear about my placement in the Top 100 of SU! Demonstrators in the US.  As I mentioned, there are more than 30,000 demonstrators in the United States, and I placed in the top 100!  Before I reveal my placement, I wanted to share some photos that we took before the ceremony began.

Many of you may know Dawn Griffith.  She is one of the most "famous" demonstrators there are!  She had over $176,000 in sales this year alone!!!  She and I became great friends, as well has her daughter Jessie, while on the Souther Caribbean Cruise this Spring.  Here is a picture of the three of us before the awards.

I swear they are both 6 Feet Tall!!!!  Love you girls!!

This next photo is me, of course you knew that, in front of the award sign prior to the start of the program.  In addition a photo of my GREAT friends Lucy and Melanie who have joined me on this awesome trip and been my biggest cheerleaders here!  The other picture is my friend Kristyne Brandt from Canada who place at number 13 in Canada!

Ok, so I know you are all wondering how it turned out.......

Drum roll please............

I moved up 10 places from last year!!!  I was honored with Demonstrator of the Year #88 !!!!  I couldn't be happier!!
The final picture is me on stage to receive my award!!

......Until tomorrow!

Convention - Day 3 - Salt Lake City

So I've been hearing from some of you that you are really enjoying my posts from Salt Lake; however, several of you (and you know who you are) have expressed that you wish you were here with me.  Well, let me tell you, next year you better be!  I am going to book adjoining hotel rooms so that we can have a giant slumber party!!!  The more the merrier!  I WANT you here with me!!

So, today was a little slower paced.  We were able to sleep until 6:30 am!!!  What a treat!  A leisurely breakfast and then off to the Opening Session.  It was fabulous!  This years convention theme song was awesome.  We were able to download it for free.  I am going to try to put it into this post so you can enjoy it too!  (I don/t know if it is going to work, so forgive me if it doesn't).

Here are a few pics from opening session:

During morning session, I had the honor of walking across the stage twice!  The first "walk" was for celebrating 5 Years as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!

A little while later, I was honored for acheiving $100,000 in career sales!  Along with this march across stage, I received a pin with one ruby in it and a bonus check!!

OK, this isn't the best picture of me but what can I say! lol

We left general session to attend classes and view thousands of samples from countless demonstrators  I actually found 3 of my cards on the sample boards!!  What an honor!!  Here are a few samples to get you thinking!

Well, enough for today!  I must go and get myself all "dolled" up!  Awards Night!!!  Tonight is the night when I will find out where I placed in the Top 100 of Stampin' Up! in the United States!!  This is sooooo exciting!  I guess you will have to wait to find out how it turns out!

......Until tomorrow!

Convention - Day 2 - Salt Lake City

Wow!  What a day!  For those of you in my downline...I wish more than anything that you could all be here with me!  I had an amazing day!  Because of my recruiting, I was allowed VIP entry into momento mall.  This means I was able to get in 1-hour earlier than the actual start time!  I picked up a few things!  LOL  NOT!!  I picked up ALOT of things!  Here are a few samples of what momento mall had to offer!

After momento mall, we proceeded to "Check In" to get our groovy bags and FREE stamp sets!!  Then it was off to the awards booth.  Much to my surprise (and I mean truly I was surprised!) I was awarded the most prestigous honor... FOUNDER'S CIRCLE!!

Me with my awesome S.A.M - Maxine ConradLucy and I after I got my award!Me with Dawn Rapsas from NJ - she was demonstrator #1 last year.  Where will she be this year??

I now have to wait until tomorrow night to find out my position in the top 100 of Stampin' Up!

After lunch, we went to a stamp camp hosted by the CSI-NY!  It was a great time!  We made some awesome projects. Here is one of my favorites! I will be sharing the rest next week!

After our stamp camp we had to go back to the hotel to get ready for the "Flower Power" party.  We worked hard making our outfits!

After all of our fun and games we hooked up with Shelli & Sterling Gardner!  We all got our groove on!

......Until tomorrow!
