Founder's Circle - Final Post

Hey everyone!  I sure hope you have enjoyed this journey as much as I have!  I can not believe it is over!  Saturday was our final day and what a day it was!  Have you ever seen 125 women all dressed in bright pink bowling shirts, all in the same place?  It is quite comical I must say!

After being on the bus for a short time, we arrived at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George, UT.  Of course we were a bit confused, as most of us thought we were going bowling.  Turns out we were!  Just a different type of bowling!  We were there to play bowling Wii style!  I was a bit afraid, as I have never even held a Wii controller!  They had 12 X-lge screens set up in the convention center and we played in our team of 8 (the groups we were put in from the first day).  There were prizes for highest overall team score, lowest team score, most strikes, and most gutter balls.

Here is a photo of my team!  Love these girls!  Back row:  Me, Dianna Gibbs, Tammi Ackerson, Kim Peck, Meg Daves / Front:  Cindy Bauman, Caroline LeBiel, and Fanny Trapenier

The convention center was decorated...of course!  Here are some FABULOUS pics!

We enjoyed a great BBQ lunch and then there were incredible dessert.  Here is a picture of Shelli sharing her desserts with us!  lol  I found this hysterical.  She can never decide which dessert to have so she gets one of each and takes one bite only from each so she can share the rest!  She chose us to share it with!

After the final event, we were bussed back to the hotel.  Another gorgeous pillow gift awaited us.  Usually they are delivered much later in the evening but seeing as we were all out of the hotel for our event, it was perfect timing for the SU! gift fairies to deliver the goods!

Inside this pretty pink box was one of the most gorgeouse sweaters I have ever gotten!

It is charcol in color and is ribbed with the early espresso stripped grossgrain ribbon.  When unbuttoned it is adorned with the vintage lace that is in the IB&C!  To finish it off, look carefully at the sleeve.  It is a REAL rubber stamp with the SU! logo!

I thought I would share a couple of other pictures with you to cap off this event!  Here is a picture of Patty Bennett and I!  Just LOVE her stuff!

My final loot pile!  OMG!

As if we weren't exhausted enough we all went to the Tuachan Outdoor Ampitheater to enjoy a performance of Crazy For You!  Here are a couple of pics!

This first one is me, Kristyne Brandt, Jacque Craig and Dawn Rapsas.  The 2nd pic is just one of the performance that I took from my seat.

I hope that you have enjoyed this final post from Founder's Circle and next year I hope and pray that I will return to the top 100 and have a member of my team to join me!!

Two Tags - Rudolph

Today's post is another Big Shot project!  I know how much you all like them!  I know it may seem like it is a little early for Christmas posts; however, before you know it you will be busy creating for Christmas!
This Rudolph was created using the Big Shot Die called "Two Tags" - Item #115954 - $21.95
Wouldn't this make a great classroom treat for your children's classmates or teachers?  Just a small token for a special someone this holiday season.  Better yet, have your kids help you!  Here is another version with candy cane ears instead of a pen or pencil holder.  Would you like to make these special treats at your own Stampin' Up! workshop? Contact me today and we can schedule one for you and your friends!

Video - Brayer and Presto Patterns DSP

Ok ladies!  I am trying something new.  I was making something for my daughter, Katelyn, to hang in her dorm room at Dean College and I decided to have her video me so I could post something a little different for you.  In this video (remember, this is my first one! lol) I am demonstrating the Presto Patterns Designer Series Paper Item #117175 - that is found in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog on Page 172.

After doing the video, I thought it would be great for you to see what they actually looked like hanging on the wall in her room!  These are 1/4" to 1/2" thick 12" x 12" pieces of cork board.  After decorating the paper, I glued them to the cork and let them dry for a couple of hours.  I used our Multipurpose Liquid Glue - Item #110755 to glue them on!

The use of Stampin' Up! products is endless!   ...................Until tomrorrow!

Cards for Heros

L to R:  Nina J., Terrill S., Megan S., Lois D.
Stamp-Patty's doing good things for our Heros overseas!

I want to thank a group of gals for all of their help and support of our troops overseas!  Two times per year we get together and create cards for our heros overseas!

We recently completed about 300 cards to send to our troops overseas!  Without the help of these gals, this would not have been possible!

If you would like to help out our soldiers/heros, I would love to have you!  Two times per year we get together and create cards;  It is my mission to send 1,000 cards per year to our troops!  You can help by donated cards and the envelopes!  I will collect them and ship them twice per year!

Tee is the queen of organizing the cards by genre and being sure
each one has a matching envelope!

Contact me if you would like to take part in this worthwhile activity!  Please consider making and extra card every time you create one for someone else.  If all of us do this, we will be able to send more cards to our troops who put their lives on the line every day so that you and I can enjoy the freedom that we have!

Thank you so much girls for your time and talents!  I truly appreciate it!

Style Beautiful

Today's card is one that I created for my recent Big Shot Club class.

If you know me, you know that my favorite color in the whole world is pink.  Nothing goes better with pink than black!

I created my own embossing template using the cardboard from the back of a package of designer series paper and the 5-petal flower punch from Stampin' Up!

Here is a picture of the punch and the template that I made to create this card.

After running the card through the Big Shot Machine, I then used the stamp set called Style Beautiful - Item #120483 to create the background on the whisper white cardstock.  Stamped in basic black is the saying that accompanies the stamp set - "Life is Beautiful".   To finish off the card, I used our new pearl jewels - Item #119247 - $4.95 per package of 150!

Close-up of the embossed petals and pearls!

Close up of background and greeting

I'd love to make this card with you and your friends!  Host a SU! workshop in your home!  Call me today!

Ornate Blossom / Thank You Kindly

Thank You Kindly

Today's card is one that I created using the Ornate Blossom stamp set.  This is a one-piece stamp set - Item #117094 - $9.95.  It can be found on Page 99 of the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog.

I stamped the blossom using VersaMark ink on top of Baja Breeze cardstock.  I then used the stamp set called Thank You Kindly - Item #111700 - $13.95 and used one of the greetings inked with Early Espresso ink over the top of the VersaMark.

I embellished this card with the Greenhouse Gala - Designer Series Paper found on Page 173 - Item #117167 - $9.95, of the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog.  The green paper that you see is actually Pear Pizzazz; one of the new In Colors for this year!  The ribbon coordinates with it (also Pear Pizzazz) and is available in a 15 yard spool for only $8.95 - Item #119265.

I would LOVE to create this card with you and your friends at your very own workshop!  Contact me today to schedule one!

F Y I

Today I wanted to share something a little different.  This card doesn't actually "open" up to a card.  It has a "slide" of sorts!

I am trying to use my new Color Coach to find new color combinations and I really like this one!

The card itself is one piece of More Mustard cardstock that is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  The top layer is created using Baja Breeze and it is 4-1/4" x 2-3/4".  The Baja Breeze is then scalloped using the Scallop Edge punch and then run through the Big Shot using the Polka Dot embossing folder.
The next layer is Cherr Cobbler and then Very Vanilla.  The "balloon" is created using the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and the large oval punch and the colors More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso.  In addition to the FYI stamp set, I also used the Sweet Centers stamp set for the balloon basket!

This is what the card looks like when you "slide" it up!

Batty For You

Happy Halloween!

Today's card is a modification of one I posted several weeks ago.

If you have seen the new Holiday Mini Catalog then you probably have seen the new embossing folder - Spider Web!  I just LOVE it!  It adds so much to this card for only $7.95!

Here are a couple of other views of my card!

Sweet Scoops - Ra Ra's Icecream

Today's sample is one that I created especially for our local ice cream parlor - Ra Ra's!  I used the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Sweet Scoops.  I hope that you can see the "waffle bowl" that I did!

Ra Ra's is an awesome little shop located in Moosup, CT and I created this card for them to use for their gift certificates!  The 2nd sample shows the 3rd side that contains the certificate!

Enjoy!  Make sure to visit Ra Ra's and be sure to tell them that you saw them on Patty Chenail's blog!
