This is an adorable and easy Christmas card to create with the big shot!  Contact me today and we can do this card at an in-home workshop for you and your friends!

Christmas Wreath - 1/2" Seam Binding

I must admit when I first saw the 1/2" seam binding in our 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog I thought to myself, "what am I going to do with that?"  I know however, that if I don't have it to show my customers, they won't buy it!  So, I purchased all three colors (Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, and Always Artichoke).  I must tell you.... I LOVE IT!!

Here is an adorable Christmas card that I created using the seam binding for my focal point!

I used my 2-1/2" circle punch and then my 1-3/4" circle punch in the center of that to create the base for my wreath.  I covered the circle with adhesive and then took the Artichoke seam binding and stuck it to the adhesive!  I then used the Cherry Cobbler seam binding for the bow!  Of course EVERY card looks awesome when you dress it up with a Big Shot Textured Embossing Folder!  I used the Petals 'O Plenty for this one!  I finished it off with a greeting from the stamp set Word Play.

A Cute Christmas

Well I have to say I really didn't like this stamp set when I first saw it.  Had it not been for the great price that I got it for.....FREE!  I wouldn't have purchased it.  I decided I need to try another sample with it.  This card was inspired by my 5th level upline, Jill Olsen from Utah.

The base of the card was made using the Scallop Square Big Shot Die!  I used Real Red cardstock for the base.  The card 4" x 4", cut from Baja Breeze cardstock, was then mounted on top of the scallop square.  The front of the card was then decorated with our Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Can you see the fabulous red glitter?  It is "built-in" to the paper!  I used the ornament image from the Cute Christmas stamp set as the focal point.

Simply Adorned - Jolly St. Nick - Snowman

I couldn't have been more thrilled when I was at Founder's Circle and I received the very special Simply Adorned necklace that was created by Shelli and her daughters Sara and Shalae.  Since last July's SU! convention when 100 lucky winners received a simply adorned charm from Shelli, I have been so wishing I would have won.  I wear the necklace proudly almost every day!  I have had several of my students say, "You must really like that necklace Mrs. Chenail.  You wear it alot." or "You're wearing that necklace again."

I decided that I needed to experiment for myself so I created this adorable necklace using the following products:

Item #121011 Black Crystal Bauble - $3.95
Item #121013 Pink Crystal Bauble - $3.95
Item # 118480 Chantilly 1/2" Lace - $6.95
Item # 116800- Simply Adorned 24" Chain - $10.95
Item #116799- SAdorned 1-1/2" x 2" Charm - $21.95
Item #121321 - Jolly Old Saint Nick Stamp Set - $17.95
Item #120995 - Silver Glass Glitter - $3.95
Item #120994 Silver Tinsel Trim - $7.95 and Item #120993 Clear Tinsel Trim - $7.95

Here are a few more shots of this adorable necklace!  I can't wait to wear it and show it off!  The best thing is I can even wear it after Christmas!  Because it is a snowman, I can wear him all winter!!!

Happy Fall - Design-a-House

Well, I have finished my "Fall" house!  A few weeks ago I shared my Halloween house and now I am ready to showcase Fall!

I used the Design-A-House kit from the Holiday Mini Catalog - Page 37- Item #120911 - $5.95 each. These are the most adorable decorations from Stampin' Up! in quite some time!  I just put in another order to get several more!  I'm working on a Christmas house and then a Winter Wonderland house!  Stay tuned for those!

I used the Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper to cover the house with.  I used the Brown Waffle Paper for the roof and chimney.  I wanted it to have a shingled appearance.  I think it looks perfect!

The wreath on the front door was made using the flower bitty punch from the 3-piece mini punch set!  I created the Happy Fall banner using the large star punch and cutting each of the star corners off to form the pennants!

I LOVE the way it turned out!  Have you created a house?  Would you share it with me please!!!?

Ornament Punch Acorn

Today I am sharing a sample from my good friend France Martin.  Frenchie is a fellow demonstrator and we got to be great friends during Founder's Circle this year.  She is so much fun to be with and her broken English accent is to die for!

She created this card using the ornament punch and the stamp set called Day of Gratitude.  The stamp set can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog on pages 12-13.  The top of the acorn was done using the Large Oval punch, and the smile was done using the Small Oval Punch.

Don't you just love it?!!!!

Merry Crittermas

Today's share is the work of Lisa Tierney, a member of my 2nd level downline.  She created this card for my recent Holiday Mini swap!

Lisa used Baja Breeze cardstock and the very cute "Candy Cane Christmas" specialty designer paper!  I took a picture of the card from a side angle so that you could see the dimension!  The stamp set is called Merry Crittermas and it can be found on Page 39 of the Holiday Mini Catalog!  It is finished off with 1/4" real red grossgrain ribbon!  Great work Lisa!

Ribbon Wreath

Have you been wondering what to do with all of those scrap pieces of ribbon?  Here is an absolutely fabulous idea!  This wreath was finished just yesterday by one of my downline, Chrysty Bolte!

When I asked her how she did it and what she used, this is what she had to say:

"I used a 12 inch metal wreath that I bought from the un-named craft store, for a couple bucks. I just did a single knot. There are 9 different ribbons, cut 8 inches long for a total of about 155 pieces. It takes a lot but its awsome. Also the wider the ribbon the better. I didnt use anything smaller than 5/8". If you go smaller you will need more!

I love all of the autumn colors she used.  She has told me that she is going to start working on one for Christmas too! Can't wait to see it!

Jolly Old Saint Nick

Today's card is the creative genious of one of my downline, Chrysty Bolte.  I LOVE this one so much I just may C.A.S.E. it for my upcoming Christmas card class on November 13th!

The color combination is awesome too!  She used Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Whisper White.  In addition, she used the Candy Cane Christmas DSP for the sky background!  Although it is not easy to see from this picture, she used the new Glass Glitter on the "snow"!

Her is another picture so that you can see the dimension that is actually part of this card.  The "Season's Greetings" is from a stamp set called "Four the Holidays".

Vintage - Christmas Collage

My O My!  This is one of the most beautiful Vintage Christmas cards I have ever seen!  I want to thank Heidi Willard for her outstanding work.  This is the card she created for my Holiday Mini Swap!  This card has so much detail and really utilizes all aspects of the Christmas Collage stamp! This single "background" type stamp is available in the Holiday Mini Catalog until January 3, 2011.

Heidi's color choice was Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso!  It is embellished using 1/4" Grosgrain Vanilla Ribbon.  All coloring was done using the Marvelous Markers!

Jolly B-I-N-G-O Bits / BINGO Card

Today I am sharing a creative project that was done by my good friend Shannon Miller from Liberty, MO.  Shannon was another of the demonstrators that participated in my Holiday Mini Swap!

Wouldn't a set of these be a great gift for a family who loves board games or has family game nights?!  Shannon created this BINGO card using two sets from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  They can be found on pages 28-29.  The first set is called Bingo Card #120851 - $17.95 and the second is called Jolly Bingo Bits - #120857 - $37.95 (W) or #121187 - $26.95 (C).

Shannon used Crumb Cake cardstock as well as Whisper white.  Her ink colors are Old Olive, Marina Mist, and Crumb Cake.  She embellished the bingo card using the 1/8" Marina Mist Taffetta Ribbon, a 5/8" Neutral Brad, and one of the BINGO bits stamped and dimensionalized on the top with a 1" circle punch cut out.  The project was finished off using the Log Cabin Smooch Spritz!  Love it!
