Party This Way!

Well, yesterday was a blast!  I held two kids classess with a total of 17 kids!  They each got the stamp set called, "Party This Way", as well as some designer series paper from the Celebrations collection!  Each of the kids created five birthday cards and took home their stamps and left over DSP so they could create more!!

These are the cards that the kids created!  Here they are working so hard!

Thanks so much to the mom's, dad's, and aunt's, that made this vacation creation class such a success!  I can't wait to stamp with the kids again!!

My Digital Studio Movie!

Now that I have finally given my daughter, Katelyn, one of her Christmas gifts... I can finally share it with you all!  I made a beautiful scrapbook for her showcasing her week-long celebration of her 21st birthday!  I created the book using My Digital Studio, the incredibly powerful scrapbooking and digital project maker from Stampin' Up!!

Her finished product is actually an 8" x 8" hard-covered book that tells the story of her 21st birthday celebrations!   Enjoy!!

Happy Birthday Paul!

Well, it is Monday and back to the grind for most of you.  I, however, am on vacation!!!  Today is my hubby's birthday!!  I created this special card for him in celebration of his special day!

My husband is a very creative spirit.  Right now he is working diligently in his garage creating another custom automobile!  He has designed and is fabricating, from the garage floor up, a 1950's "Rat Rod" truck.  He spends a lot of time measuring, remeasuring, and then cutting the metal in order to create the frame, cab, and soon the body too!  His Christmas gifts from me were parts for his truck, of course!  A steering wheel and tail lights that he is working on molding in!!

Love ya lots Paul!  Happy Birthday!!!!

Sorry that I have missed a post or two!  I just had to finish my cards and finally got them in the mail on Wednesday!  I have NEVER been that late!!!

I also delivered the Big Shot to our winner Tammy Summiel!  To say she was thrilled was an understatement!!!  I am working on another give-away!  Anyone that takes advantage of my Big Shot Bonanza or Marker Mania deal will be eligible in the drawing for a $50 SU! shopping spree!!!!!  Stay tuned for details!

In the meantime, here are a few more Christmas cards I received!

This beauty was from Jen McPherson!  I'm not sure what type of paper she used but you really have to see it
in person to appreciate how beautiful it really is!

The one below is from Rachel Bolte, a friend and 2nd level downline!  This too is a beauty!

UDI Color Challenge #15

Hello Stampin' Friends!

Wasn't Kate's guest post yesterday awesome!  I told her she had better be careful or she would be a guest blogger more often!  Stay tuned for tomorrow's post because Katelyn has something special for you to see!!!

As for today, it is Tuesday and that means another U.D.I. Color Challenge!  This week the color pallette was a combination of Brights and Subtles.  Our colors were:

  • Old Olive
  • Melon Mambo
  • Pear Pizzazz
  • Pretty in Pink
I absolutely LOVE what I came up with; however the inspiration behind it is not as happy.  I just learned of the passing of a friend's father-in-law, and I wanted to create something special to send to her and her family.  This week's color combination is sure to soothe her.

The stamp sets I chose are

Printed Petals
Teeny Tiny Wishes

Of course I used my Big Shot and the embossing folder called Finial Press.  Other accessories include the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, the 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon or Pear Pizzazz ribbon, and dimensionals!

................  Until tomorrow!

GUEST BLOGGER!

HEY STAMPING FRIENDS..of my mother!

It's Patty's Daughter, Katelyn!

My mother is extremely busy playing Mrs. Claus for all you Stampin' Up! kids, so I've decided to help her out with her daily blog post. And how am i supposed to help? Easy, im gunna write what she tells me. So of course i have to mention our gathering we had last night...yep we had a gathering- what else should i say about it? Well lets just say, lots of wine and good friends. :) Mom was kinda (i use kinda very lightly..) exited when one of her new recruits handed her a Christmas card. I'm not into the whole "crampin'Up" stuff, but i will say this card is pretty cute. Patricia says i need to add some detail about this card..but im gunna put it in my own words to spice it up a bit. Let me demonstrate like I'm Vanna White (just imagine it for a quick sec)

Here I am holding a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 old Olive textured card stock, embellished with a very vanilla overlay scallop. OOoo designer series paper, covered in dazzling DIAMONDS! The finishing touch is a pear pizzaz ribbon, and a Die-Cut embellishment on the bottom corner.. AMAZING!
They could hire me on the price is right. NO JOKE!

Alright, well I'm not going to drag this on longer than i have to. but my mother did tell me to thank everyone for the Christmas cards! KEEP EM' COMMIN! They add a nice touch to the kitchen.

She has all of your cards hanging in our kitchen!

Cards #11 & #12

Two more Christmas cards for you!  I sure hope I get mine finished soon and out in the mail!  lol

This first card was created by Laurie C. from Putnam, CT.  I absolutely am in awe of this one!  She "borrowed" the Scallop Border Corner punch from Tammy and  Tammy told her, "Good luck with that one!"  She did unbelievably well!  She is a pro!  So much so that I am going to have her demonstrate how she did it so perfectly at our next club group meeting!

Great job Laurie!  Thanks so much!
The second card is from Tammy S. from Moosup, CT.  Tammy has become almost a "regular" on my blog!  She and her mom create some of the most beautiful cards!

Thanks so much for thinking of me!

Cards #9 & #10!

WOW!!  I'm totally blown away by the number of handmade Christmas Cards I have received so far!  I want to be sure you see all of them before Christmas so I am doubling up!  I was sure you wouldn't mind two cards per day instead of one!  lol  Both of today's cards were from members of my "Coffee" Clubbers!

The first one is from Judy B. from Moosup, CT.  It is difficult to tell from this picture but the ornaments are gold, copper and silver!
The second card is from a BRAND NEW member of the group!  This is her first swap!  Betsy B.!  You did a great job!

Thanks for sharing girls!

Christmas Card #8 and a Stocking Stuffer!

Two more projects to share with you today!

The first is a beautiful and simple card created by Chris O. from Moosup, CT.  What I most love about this card is that it is simple and absolutely a great color combination!  Who would have thought about putting Baja Breeze with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive??

For all of you beginning stampers out there... this is for you!

The second project was created by Sue D., from Moosup, CT.  I received this as part of my monthly club swap and I absolutely love the idea!  This would be great for a stocking stuffer or even as a topper on a gift!

Thanks for thinking of me girls!!  Love the ideas!
