Two for the price of one...................

Today I have a double sharing for you!  One is something you would expect and for the other you are really going to have to think outside of the box!

The first card I am sharing is one that is created from the DSP called Paisley Petals.  This DSP is only available for the month of April!  It can be purchased with a minimum of a  $20 order!  In additon, the stamp set that was used is also only available for the month of April.  It is called Four Frames.

This card is accented with the Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon!  I love the fact that our DSP is so beautiful that it can be used as a focal point or background for a card!

Now for something a little different!  On Monday, April 25th, I held my most recent downline meeting.  This is when all of the members of the Stamp-Patty's get together to share business ideas, creative project ideas, as well as when I reward them for their sales, promotions, and other significant accomplishments!  One of my downline, Megan, decided to bring a project to share with the group!  The day prior to Easter Sunday, her husband Tim told her she was not allowed to enter her stamping room because he and their 4 month old son, Tayton, were creating something for her!  How awesome is that?  Well much to Megan's surprise on Easter morning was this incredible duo made just for her!  (She couldn't wait to share them with us!)

First came the card!  This card was hand drawn by her husband Tim!  He traced Tayton's hands and feet in order to make the hands and feet of the rabbit!

Then came the Easter basket! Of course he used Stampin' Up! paper!!!  He also used her Cricut machine to customize the basket with her name!  lol

The basket was filled with crumpled up money!  In addition, he used dollar bills to make pinwheels to embellish the handle of the basket!

My hat is off to you Tim!  Must have been all of the those men classes you have attended!  Keep it up!  Mother's Day is right around the corner and I can't wait to see what you create for that!

Project with SU! Fabric

Hello to friends of the Stamp-Patty's!  Today I thought I would share something a little different!

You all know how much I love the fabrics that Stampin' Up! has to offer! This idea came from my good pal Dawn R. from NJ!  When I attended her recent shoebox-a-thon event, this was one of our pillow gifts!
This awesome creation is a "slip cover" for a purse-sized package of tissues!

I absolutely LOVE the candy cane fabric!  This little pouch fits in my purse and is a great conversation starter!  When I remove it, the first thing people want to know is what is it?  Then I get to talk about the great fabric patterns we have to offer!

Remember, our fabric is not just for those that sew!  It can easily be used on a card or a scrapbook page!  I would be happy to show you how!

Border Punch Frames with Video!!

No my friends...I am not getting married.  However, I couldn't resist sharing this beautiful card with you!  It was created by one of my customers, Tammy as a swap card at last month's club group.  I love the simplicity of the card and of course its elegance.

She used the Embossed Tulips embossing folder for the Big Shot as the border around the outside.  The center or focal point was created using the Ribbon Border Punch.  The center was then mounted with dimensionals and for a finishing touch she added some of the organdy ribbon!  Absolutely beautiful!!

After looking at this card, I couldn't help but be inspired by it and I wondered how our other border punches would look as frames.  I did a little playing in my stamp room and created a frame for each of our 5 border punches!  Here is a photo for you to show you all of them!  I have also included the item numbers for each of the punches so that if you don't have them...you can order them!  I have also included the frame and mat sizes for each of them!

In addition to the photo, I created a video to show you how to do it!  If you are viewing this blog post through your email, you will need to go to the actual blog to view the video!  Click here:  http://www.stamppattys.com/   to view it!

Friendship Never Fades

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today I am sharing a great project that showcases the Friendship Never Fades stamp set.  This is one of my favorites!  (I know...they're all my favorites!  lol)

The color combination on this card is really striking.  The card iteself is Daffodil Delight.  The backgroud paper is from the Greenhouse Gala DSP collection.

The flowers are stamped using VersaMark ink and clear embossing powder and then just cut out and mounted to the card.  The leaves are from the the two-step bird punch!

This color combination is another that reminds me that summer is coming!

Won't you share your summer color combos with me????  I'd love to see them!

................. Until tomorrow!

With All My Heart

Happy Good Friday to you all!

Today I am sharing a very cheery color combination with a stamp set called, With All My Heart.  This set originally came out in the Ocassions Mini catalog in 2010 and was then placed in the Idea Book & Catalog this past July.

The card is created from Real Red cardstock with a layer of Marina Mist, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and another layer of Real Red.

The colors inspired me so much, I thought I would kinda replicate them in the sprucing up of my Tiki Hut!!

On Thursday afternoon, I was busy painting the stools that were at the Tiki Hut for the last couple of years.  I am working on my days off to spruce it up to get ready for another "party" season!  Here are some of the stools so you can see how this beautiful, bright card inspired me!  I wonder what Paul is gunna say when he gets home and sees what I have done!  lol

If summer ever gets here, I might actually get to use them!

...... Until tomorrow!!

Dress me up.............

I know you have heard the old saying "You can dress 'em up...but you can't take 'em anywhere."  Well here is an adorable card that I just had to share!!  In this case you can dress it up and send it anywhere!!

This adorable dress is created using a standard sized card  5-1/2" x 4-1/4".  The base is Very Vanilla.  It was then run through the Big Shot machine using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  The apron and collar were both cut using he Springtime Vintage DSP.

The waist or bodice piece is the Victoria crochet trim! It was then finished off with the small flower from the Boho Flower Punch and a small pearl!

Here is the pattern for this awesome card!

Until tomorrow!

U.D.I. Color Challenge #32

Hello my friends!

Happy Tuesday!  As you know, Tuesday = color challenge day!!  Take some time to play along this week!  Our colors for this week are:
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Basic Black
  • Basic Gray
  • Whisper White

I need to thank my chica, Marisol, for her help on this one!!!  I was away this past weekend attended Dawn Rapsas' Shoebox Swap-A-Thon and met some incredible ladies.  Marisol was one of them.  I was panic stricken on Sunday morning as I was still in NJ and had to get my color challenge done and submitted in a hurry.  She quickly pointed out one of the cards we had made the night before (or was it morning....I think it was after midnight lol).  She said with a little bit of color change this one could work!  I got home from my weekend adventure about 5pm on Sunday and quickly went to my stamping room to create this beauty!  The original idea for this card came from Fran T. (also from NJ).   I want to say thank you so much to all the gals for making me feel so welcome!  I can't wait to see you all again in September!

.............. Until tomorrow!

MDS Monday - Spring and Easter???

Hello my friends!  I apologize for my MDS post this week!  lol  I have been travelling this week.  I had the awesome pleasure of spending the weekend with demonstrators from NJ, NY, PA, and even VA!!  I was asked to teach My Digital Studio classes at a weekend Shoebox-a-thon!  I had an awesome time!!! I had so much fun I am going to plan a weekend like that for my girls!!!  Anyone interested????

Anyway, because I was busy working all weekend I decided I would post the card that we created in our MDS class on Sunday morning!  Here it is!  I want to say a big thanks to Heather from VA who manned my computer while I was presenting and to Marisol from NJ who forced me to learn how to use MDS for another reason...putting my watermark on my cards!!

We created this card on Saturday night as a 3-D paper project so I thought it would be perfect to show the gals how you can do anything on MDS that you did on paper....well almost!  On the 3-d version we used the Square Lattice embossing folder to do "inlaid" embossing on it.

I'm not sure I would use this as an Easter card but definitely as a Spring card!!

.............Until tomorrow!

MDS Video!!! - Memory Book

Hello stamping friends and followers!  Today I am sharing a MDS Memory Book!  My daughter Katelyn, who many of you have met here on the blog....or in person, called me less than a week ago and asked, "Mom, you know those great books you have made for me? Could you make one to be a memory or guest book for our Dean of dance?  Oh, and by the way, I need in in two weeks!"

After further probing, I found that the Dean of the Dance School @ DEAN college is stepping down as the Dean and the college community is having a reception for her on April 26th.  What Katelyn is looking for is a memory book for everyone to write in so that the Dean will have it as a memory forever!  Needless to say I got busy and within 1-1/2 hours I created a great book!  I thought I would share it with you all!

So, the possibilities are endless with MDS!  Think about it...wouldn't it be great to have a guest book like this for a wedding?  The background pages could be pics of the bride and groom!  How about a memory book like this for a baby shower?  Everyone could write words of wisdom for the mom to be!

Got any other ideas?  Post them for us all to see!!!

.........Until tomorrow!

Easter Bunny....in 3-D -- well almost!

Couldn't resist sharing this one with you.  Although the DSP is retired, I thought it was most definitely worthy of blogging!

Received an email from one of my downline, Tammy.  She was so excited that this card was created by one of her customers!  She was so proud that she just had to share it with me....so I am sharing it with you!!

The card was created by Carol Gouveia. (no she isn't a demonstrator....yet!)  She has a passion for stamping, scrapbooking, and card making!  If you look closely you may feel the same as I do...she also has a passion for punches!

The bunny's face was created using the heart-shaped treat cups that are still available through SU! and certainly through my website!

Thank you so much girls for sharing with us!!!

Because I Care

It has been a little while since I shared a sample made from the Level 1 Hostess set, Because I Care.

This card was created using Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, and Very Vanilla.  The punched out squares that are part of the Hydrangea is called a Spotlight Technique.  It is designed to draw attention to a specific locatoin on the project; kind of like a magnifying glass without actually enlarging it.

The Baja Breeze strip along the bottom was run through the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder to give a little extra dimension!

Other supplies include the Lace Border Punch, the 1-3/8" square punch, and the 1-1/4" square punch.

If you'd like to earn this hostess for FREE, all you need to do is host a minimum $150 workshop!  You can do that just by passing the catalog around and taking orders!  How easy is that!??

Anyone interested in a catalog party?????  Contact me today!

...............Until tomorrow!

Sure sign of Spring!

Well, how do you know that Spring has finally arrived?  I just had to share a couple of great pictures of our dog, Scooby, to show you how I know that Spring is here!  Scooby LOVES to be outside and until VERY recently really wasn't a "digger".  She had been outside for some time and with all of the wet weather we have had I figured I'd better retrieve her from the back yard.

I called for her several times and she did not arrive at the door step.  I had to seek her out and this is what I found!

She was having much more fun outside than I was inside.  Of course I didn't have the camera when I first found her...but not to worry!  She was perfectly fine with finishing up her dirty business while I went to retreive my camera!  By the time I got back, she was then right at the door step to greet me!  This was what I saw!

Can you imagine?  She even thought I was going to let her in the house lookin like that!??

Needless to say, she had to be washed up!

Any way, another sure sign that Spring has arrived is the creating of cards with pretty floral patterns and birds!  I don't know about you but I love to hear the birds chirping outside.  It makes me know that the warmer weather is coming because our feathered friends have returned!  The card that I am sharing with you today was done by my good friend, Lucy Trudeau!  Many of you know Lucy!  The night before our recent regional, we stayed overnight in the hotel and took part in a shoebox swap.  This was Lucy's creation for the swap!

Her colors are Bashful Blue, Garden Green, Whisper White.  She used the Vintage Vogue stamp set and the Two-Step Bird Punch as the focal point!  LOVE IT!!!

MDS Monday - A Little Birdie Told Me

Happy Monday everyone!  This week's MDS challenge is to create a project using either the bird punch or a bird stamp.  I chose to duplicate a card that I received in the mail from my 3rd level upline Kristi Stoughton.  I loved the card, layout, and colors!

Here first is the MDS version!

Nature's Walk

Today I am sharing a sample made from the stamp set - Nature's Walk.  This set is found in the Ocassions Mini Catalog and will be retiring very soon (April 30, 2011).  If this is a set you have been considering or really wanting, you want to make sure to get your order to me as soon as possible!

The card is made from Crumb Cake cardstock and a 2nd layer of crumb cake was run through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder!  In addition to the embossing folder, the Big Shot was also used to create the tag that the bird cage and bird are stamped on!  This tag is made using the Sizzix Bigz Die called Two Tags.  The layers are Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla.  The ink is Early Espresso and the project is finished off with one of our Sew Sweet buttons!  (these buttons will be retiring on April 30th too! - Don't miss out!)
