Some people are so talented......

I love when I hear from customers, "I couldn't do that, I am not that creative." or "I'm not as talented as you are."  Well let me tell you -- you have more talent than you think!  I received an email from a great friend and downline member, Joan.  She is amazing at My Digital Studio (MDS).  If you recall, on Monday I had to create a punch art animal using MDS.  My post was less than stellar if you ask me.  Just to refresh you, I am posting it here to remind you!  lol

Joan decided she would take my challenge and create a punch art animal too!  Well, I can not tell you how blown away I was with HER creation!  What do you think?

Tiny bubbles................

Ever wonder what would happen if you put a drop (or two) of shampoo into a hot tub?  Well Paul decided to conduct his own experiment and this is what it looked like!

The next morning I still had soap bubbles all over my deck!  I have no idea if this has done any damage to our hot tub or not but I can tell you that "Suave does what theirs does for less!"   lol

On the stamping side of things, here is a great card that I just had to share!  This card was created by a member of my downline, Jane, for a recent swap that we did.

The card was created with new In Colors from the 2011-2012 IBC!  The card itself is created from Island Indigo and the layers are Pool Party and

  whisper white.  The leaf/floral image on the front is done with Lucky Limeade with a bit of Island Indigo splashed in.   The perfect embellishment was created using the new floral lace border punch!

UDI color Challenge #46

Hey friends!  It is Tuesday and time to get back on the color challenge wagon!  Sorry I missed last week but due to traveling back from Convention in Utah, I was not able to get my project completed!  This week's colors are:      

• Tempting Turquoise
• So Saffron
• Old Olive
• Whisper White

 

Using the stamp set, Language of Friendship, this is what I created!

If you like the two-step Bird Punch, you are going to LOVE it even more with this stamp set!

The image that has the bird, wing, and vine is perfectly lined up so when you use your punch, all three punch out at the same time!!!

I used the Boho flower image as a background on the So saffron paper.  I LOVE this set and I am thinking about another of my card classes for this one!

MDS Monday - Animal Punch Art

Hello everyone!  Today's MDS challenge is to create a card or scrapbook page with an animal punch art creation.  Well, let me tell you, this is much easier on paper than it is on MDS!  (at least for me) LOL  I had a hard time creating an animal that I could actually recognize!  As you all know, pink is my favorite color so that is what made me feel better about this project!

Congratulation Butterfly................

Hey friends!

Today I had to share a beautiful card that I received from Max C. my S.A.M. - now known as my DBD (Demonstrator Business Development) coach!

She gave me this beautiful card to congratulate me on my achieving top 100 status and being awarded a place on the Founder's Circle Retreat!

The project uses bashful blue, crumb cake, peach parfait, espresso, and the First Edition newsprint DSP!  She created dimension by using the butterfly die and square lattice embossing folder for the Big Shot and also by using the Decorative Label punch and popping it up with dimensionals!

Here is a picture of Max & I at convention!  I want so express my sincerest thanks and gratefulness to her for all that she has done to help me in my business!  Max, you are so motivating and I love the fact that you make me accountable to you!  Thanks so much!!!

Wish big...........

There are lots of things that we all wish for.  After all, if we had nothing to think or dream about, life would be pretty uneventful wouldn't it?   I have lots of things that I wish for -- some realistic and some probably not.  What about you?

Returning home from convention has been difficult.  Trying to get back into the swing of things, get caught up on chores (did I tell you that I have grown the BEST weeds in all of CT?!!), and get back to the studio to create has been difficult to balance.  I just couldn't take it any longer and had to get into the studio yesterday so that I could make swaps for my first post convention SU! workshop.  Because my wishes are so many, I decided that I would create this great project!

I used the Bring on the Cake stamp

set and created the same project in two different colors.  The one on the left is Always Artichoke/Basic Black and the one on the right is Cajun Craze/Basic Black.  This stamp set was featured in a mini catalog in the Spring and it then made it to our big Idea Book & Catalog!  So if you missed out on it previously...you can now get it!  It is an awesome set and has so many practical uses!

So, as I leave you with this wish big project, I want to let you know that my wish for all of you is health and happiness!

Here is one last picture from my stay in Utah.  It was taken right before we had to separate and leave for the aiport on Sunday afternoon!  What do you think of those awesome shirts we got at convention?!!!!

Convention Highlight Video - I MADE IT!!

Hey stamping friends!  This might sound really vain but I just had to share this with you all!  I have been to MANY Stampin' Up! events and you may not know this but SU! has its own video and production crew.  They film everything!  At the end of any SU! event they show a highlights video.  I never seem to be in any of those videos........ until now!  Here is a link to the recent SU! 2011 Convention!  I actually made the video!!  LOL  I am at 1:46 holding hands with Meg and Dawn!

Dog days of Summer...........Patty's SU! Retirement Sell-Off!

Hey everyone!  Made it home safely from Utah!  Got in after 1:30 am so I have been trying to adjust to the little amount of sleep!  Convention was incredible!  I learned so much and have been equipped with so many ideas for our new upcoming Holiday Mini catalog!  All I can say is you had better hold on because this mini is absolutely fabulous!!!  We've got some new products coming our way and I know you are going to LOVE them as much as I do!!!!!

On a lighter note, I just had to share this great picture with you all!  Back in the Spring I shared a picture of our family dog, Scooby, after she had played in the mud.  Today, I have to show you how Scooby likes to spend a hot afternoon in the Summer!

Last day of convention :( ...........

Hello everyone!  I am so sad :( !  Today is the last day of convention!  It was an awesome day!!!  We had a number of awesome surprises today and yet MORE FREE STUFF!!!!!  Here is my loot from today!

The one stamp set that you can see is one that was given to convention attendees ONLY!  It is a fantabulous set!!! My favorite piece of this set is the SU! logo with our tag line...Inspire, Create, Share !  How awesome is that!?

During our closing session today, Carrie Cudney from SU! did an inspiring presentation using candy and how well it coordinates with our SU! stamp sets!

After Carrie's presentation, SU!'s own Spencer Willis appeared on stage as the "Candy Man".  He was accompanied by his four children.  The talent of SU! employees amazes me!

After closing session, the girls and I went to a restaurant here in Salt Lake called Biaggi's.  It was incredible Italian food.  We joined 20 other women as part of the Utah Diva's group!  We had dinner, drinks and shared incredible swaps!  Here are some of our highlights!
