Make a wish................

As I sat down last night to write this post, I was interruped by this beautiful view!:
As you look at this pictures, make a wish!!!

The view over my house!

Perhaps your wish is for a bunch of new stampin loot!  Well if that is the case than I have the answer for you!

It's hard to believe that the holiday time is quickly approaching.  Plans are now under way for the 3rd Annual Men's Night event!  This is one that you don't want your significant other to miss!  We will take care of feeding him the comfort food that men so love, make sure he has his favorite beer, and best of all he will be shopping off of the Stampin' Up! wish list that you send him with!

Here are the details of this year's event:

Sharing What We Love

The Stampin' Up! mission / Statement of the Heart is so relevant to our everyday life!  If we share what we love and love what we do, we can make a difference!  I know it sounds cliche but I do believe it is true!  You all know that I have a full time "day" job and have made SU! my full time "other" job.  There are some days that I am so exhausted but no matter what I always bring my happiest and spunkiest me to every SU! event that I do.  I absolutely LOVE what I do and I hope that you all LOVE coming to my events as a result!

On Monday night I held another of my Christmas Card classes and it just so happened to be a mother & daughter night!  I had three sets of moms/daughters signed up to attend!  One of the daughters was not feeling well so I stood in!  Here are a couple of photos of our mom/daughter teams with completed projects!

Pat & Alison

Lisa & Alyssa (with Jo in the sideline - who happens to be related to them!)
I think I speak honestly when I say we had a GREAT time sharing with each other!  Thanks for making my "other" job so much fun all of you!
On the Scooby front, I've been asked alot lately for Scooby to make another appearance on the blog!  Here is Paul & Scooby sharing what THEY LOVE!  LOL  We had a backyard camp fire last weekend (just the three of us - Paul, me & Scooby) and the dynamic duo decided to pull up a seat at the Tiki Bar!

In the 2nd picture I can't believe that Scooby actually smiled at me  LOL

Just Believe It! / Stitched Stocking Class

When I tell people that I have been married almost 25 years...they don't believe it!  When I tell them that I have a 20+ year old daughter...they don't believe it!

Well... Just Believe it.  Today is my one and only baby girl's 22nd Birthday!  Yup, that's right!  22 years ago, (two weeks late) after 22 hours of labor she was born by emergency C-Section.  Despite the difficulty in getting her into this world, I wouldn't trade her for anything!    Happy Birthday sweet Katelyn!

This card was created by Laurie C. and shared as her swap card for the month.  I immediately fell in love with it and knew that I had to have it for Katelyn's birthday card.

The sunset was created with Daffodil Delight, and Peach Parfait inks and the brayer!  The image from the Just Believe stamp set was stamped in Basic Black to give it the silhouette look!

The card is a 3 x 6 card and fits into our small open ended envelope.

Button Buddies

Today's project was created by my friend Marlene.  I can not even tell you how much I LOVE that stamp set; button buddies!

I always struggle with how I am going to use buttons on my projects.  With this stamp set, there is NO struggle.  It is designed to be used specifically with our designer buttons!!

In addition to the buttons, she used four of our awesome punches!  The colors are Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise.

Halloween Decor

Did you know that SU products are not just used for greeting cards & scrapbook pages?  How about this amazing project?!!!!

The medallions are easier than ever to make; thanks to our new Simply Scored tool!

The ghoulish decorations are all courtesy of a dollar store and sprinkled in is a it of raphia which can be from any of the craft stores.  All of these items are glued onto a grapevine wreath with a hot glue gun.  This magnificent paper creation will last for years and won't cost you more than $9.00!!!  How's that for decorating on a budget?

I am now working on one for Autumn/Thanksgiving!  Can't wait to finish it up so that I can share it with you!

Founder's Circle Conclusion

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the delay in posting but it has been an insane week!  I travelled for 14 hours last Sunday to make my way home from St. George, Utah after an amazing 4 days with some of the best women on the planet!  When I arrived at Providence airport, I heard my name on the P.A. and immediately got a pit in my stomache!  I proceeded to the Delta baggage office to find that my checked luggage (the one with ALL of my Founder's gifts, treats, and swaps!)  was missing!!  I thought I would die.  I pleaded with them to please be sure to find that bag as the items inside could NEVER be replaced!  Luckily for me, I returned home from school on Tuesday to find the luggage sitting on my porch!  Thank goodness someone was on my side!

Over the next several months I will be sharing some of the incredible swaps I got but for today I thought I should share the final day or so of FC with you all!  On Saturday, our final day, we were bussed to a mystery location.  To my apprehension, we arrived at the Coral Canyon Golf Course.  It was absolutely beautiful but I must tell you that my two previous experiences with golf clubs were not very good.  My first experience came shortly after my tenth birthday when I was struck in the forehead with a club and had a golf ball sized lump for weeks!  The second experience was a few years ago at the driving range.  I was NEVER able to hit it off the tee!  LOL  Anyway, luckily for me we didn't have to do real golfing!  We had so much fun driving the carts around the course I could have cared less about the golf!  Here are some great pics from the final day!

Janet, Judy, Patty, Kristin, Linda, Cindy & ME!

Look at that form!

How is that swing?  I wouldn't have the foggest idea!

MDS Monday - Hello Baby

Happy Monday everyone!  This week's MDS challenge is
a baby project.

I couldn't resist creating a subtle, layered card.  This card shows the Medallion stamp in the background along with the scallop circle punch.  Using MDS I can create layer after layer; make it look like it has dimension and still add a stamp to the top!  Can't do this with paper!

Founder's Circle - Day 3

Hello Stamping Friends!

I can hardly believe that Day 3 has come and gone!  Today was an action packed day!  After breakfast, we boarded the busses for a trip to Kanab, Utah.  This is where all of your rubber stamps are made!  I wouldn't miss this trip for the world!  The employees of Kanab are so happy that we come to visit.  They go all out for us!  When we rounded the corner where Stampin' Up! is located, one of the employees - Cherokee - was holding a Founder's Circle sign to welcome us!

When we pulled up to the facility, all of the other employees were there to greet us too!

Part of the Kanab tour includes going to Shelli's apartment which is above the manufacturing facility.  I was able to get a little one on one time and of course a photo.  If only I looked as good as Shelli!  After
leaving the facility we headed to the park in kanab where SU! has donated all of the rubber that is used for the landing surface on the playground!  Of course we acted like kids and couldn't resist playing!
Dianna, Me, Meg, and Connie

Me and Cindy B who is from Hawaii
When we returned from our full day in Kanab, we changed and were then taken on a mystery trip.  Turns out they took us to Tuachan Outdoor Ampitheater!  We were treated to Disney's Little Mermaid! It was unbelieveable!!!!!  The executives from Disney came to see the performance earlier this summer and told them that it was better than what was playing on Broadway in NYC!!

The sun setting over the mountains!  What an incredible day it was!!!

Founder's Circle - Day 2

Hey Everyone!

Having an incredible time here in St. George!  Had a leisurely morning very similar to yesterday!  After my morning routine, we headed into the gathering place to find the transformation from small tea shop to really LARGE tea shop!  Who could resist all of this?

Had to take advantage of the fact that the sun was shining so brightly so I headed up to my room to change into my swim suit, grab my raft, and head out to the pool!

Me and Dawn R.

Spent the afternoon going to to demo's houses here in Utah to stamp!!  My first stop was Jill Olsen's.  She has been with the Company since day one, her demo number is like 5 or something crazy like that!  LOL Here are some great pics from my hours there!

After returning from Jill's, we headed over to Susan Adams' place.  More stamping and more food!

Don't worry, the evening doesn't end there!  We then had our PJ Tea Party which included swapping with 125 of my good friends!  I will share those with you tomorrow!

Founder's Circle - Day 1

Arrived in St. George VERY late on Tuesday night, or was it Wednesday morning?  Didn't sleep real well but none the less I am very happy that I made the trip on Tuesday as it gave me lots of time to do what I wanted to on Wednesday.  The view of the hotel's entrance was absolutely gorgeous! The theme of this year's event is "Tea Shop".   Of course I photographed it all!   I knew you all would want to see it!

I made it to my room, which of course was personalized just for me!  LOL  Didn't sleep the greatest, but who cares.  I can sleep when I am dead.  Right now, I got lots of great stuff to experience.  I got up, had a leisurely breakfast with my friend Angie and then a 3.5 mile run.  I decided that I should officially check in for the event.  When I entered the Gathering Place this is what I saw!

I am happy to say that I did NOT indulge in those incredible cupcakes.  I did hear that they were pretty dang good though.  I then proceeded out the the swimming pool where thanks to my great friend Tee S. I had a pool float to lay in the pool with!  I hung out there for a couple hours until the thunder clouds rolled in and the rain started to come down. Was good while it lasted.

In keeping with tradition, the first night of Founder's Circle there is a special welcome dinner.  It is a beautifully organized evening with a great dinner. When we checked in, our name badges had a team name and we had to go around and find the other 6 members of our team.  I am one of the White Gloves.  We found our table in the dining room and each of us had a beautiful china tea cup and saucer filled with fresh roses and a personalized place setting tag from the Beau Chateau collection!  Dinner was awesome!  Filet Mignon with a Bernaise sauce, mashed potatoes and fresh veggies!

Patty B., Cindy B, Kristin K., Judy G., Janet W., Linda H. and me!

After dinner, I returned to my room to find the first of my pillow gifts!!

All of my goodies after Day 1!

It is the small big shot die box full of SU! goodies!  A new stamp set that will be in the Occasions Mini Catalog, as well as a big shot product that will also be in that mini, several ink pads, clothes pin embellishments, paper daises, linen thread, package of note cards & envelopes!  Totally awesome!!!
Well I guess it is time to get some sleep!
