Cheers to you.................

I look at this card and it makes me smile!  I know it hasn't been a really bad winter, but I am so ready for the warmth of Spring and SUMMER!

This card was shared with me by Sue D. from Moosup, CT.  Being a math person, I love the block design she used.  I also love the simplicity that this card displays.

Using the 5-petal flower punch and a strip of Old Olive cardstock, Sue created an adorable flower.  She further embellished the project by using the Boho Flower Punch, a few rhinestones and a soft suede button.

Although the greeting is a retired Sale-A-Bration set, that top right block leaves a great space for many other greetings that are available in our catalogs!

Thanks for sharing Sue! and I wish you all a beautiful Spring!!

................. Until tomorrow!

MDS Monday - Sale-a-Bration CD Content

For those of you that are part of my monthly club groups, you should recognize this!  Yup, that's right, it is one of our February club projects.

This week our digital challenge was to create a project using the digital content CD that is available in the Sale-a-Bration catalog!  Did you even realize that there was a digital content CD?  What does digital content mean?  It is incredible!!!  EVERY item that is in the Sale-a-Bration catalog, stamps, paper, embellishments is put into digital format and put onto 1 CD for My Digital Studio users!

I used my circle punch and resized it to 1" (just like we used on the actual card) and then filled each circle with a different pattern of the Everyday Enchantment DSP that has been the unanimous favorite of my customers during this year's SAB spectacular!

The base of the card is Baja Breeze and the next layer is Very Vanilla.  I used the Modern Label and the Word Window punches for the greeting.

We are approaching the last month of SAB!  Don't miss out!  There is still time to get your free items with a $50 order!  In addition, I still have dates available for hosting a workshop and getting LOTS of FREE stuff!!!  Contact me today!

Mocha Morning Hello

I hope that you, as I, are reading this post of your morning cup of java!  (Mocha morning.....get it?!)

The reason I titled this card Mocha Morning Hello is because the DSP used on this project is called Mocha Morning.  It is one of our specialty designer series papers; which means it has something "special" about it!  This paper has several sheets that are what I called "flocked".  This means that there is a raised velvety feel or pattern to it.  The colors in this DSP are crumb cake, early espresso, and very vanilla.
In addition to the beautiful DSP, the top of the card was checked using our Simply Scored Tool! The stamp set is from Loving Thoughts and the "Hello" is from the Sale-A-Bration set called "Elegant Birthday".

I have to thank Tammy S. for sharing this card with me!  I know you will like it as much as I do!

............... Until tomorrow!

Today's featured project was made by Judy B., a customer of mine from Moosup, CT.  The base and top layer of the card is Blushing Bride cardstock and there is basic black in between.

The top layer is embossed with the Garden Greetings embossing folder and stamped with the stamp set called, "Elizabeth".

This is another very simple but very elegant project!  The greeting on this card says "friend" but you can make it anything that you want.  I could see this as a birthday, wedding, thinking of you, and even a sympathy card.
PS.  Did you know that one of my two middle names is Elizabeth?!!!

Simple sympathy note card

You all know how I like cards that are simple and easy to reproduce!  Here is one for you!!

This card is made from Whisper White cardstock and it was put through the Big Shot using the Framed Tulips embossing folder.

It was created by Denise B.  She then used a retired stamp set called, "Bliss".  The flourish in the background was stamped using Going Grey and then stamped over the top if it is the butterfly image using Elegant Eggplant ink.  She decided to add a sympathy greeting to finish it off.

If you really think about this design, you could use any and all greetings and create a full set of these cards as a great gift!  Thanks for sharing this with me Denise!

............... Until tomorrow!

Wedding on the Beach

Who says that footprints are only for baby projects?!  Thinking outside the box is what led to these wedding invitations!

A long time friend of mine, whom I had lost touch with for a while, is getting married on the beach on Tybee Island, GA soon and I created these for her!

The base of the card is Crumb Cake.  I then added a layer of Early Espresso and another layer of Crumb Cake.  The focal point is a combination of Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Whisper White.  I layered two pieces of the white and used my sponges to color them with Pool Party and Marina Mist. I used the foot prints from the mini catalog set called, "Baby Prints".  I added some of our natural hemp twine and some half shells that I picked up at my local craft store.  To finish them off, I used crystal effects in small droplets and let them dry.  I did this to give them a water splashed/droplet effect!  The final touch required the use of the Color Spritzer tool and the Early Espresso marker.  I spit little drops of color all over the invites.

Of course I had to create some coordinating Thank You Notes for her as a gift!  I used the pre-cut / pre-scored notecards from the back of our big idea book and catalog.

I can't wait until she gets to see them!  I sent them priority mail on Friday and I am hoping that she got them yesterday or at the latest today.....especially because I am sharing them with the world and I don't know if she has seen them yet!

................. Until tomorrow!

MDS Monday - Black and White

WOW!  I can't believe how much I loved creating projects in black & white!  This week our MDS challenge is to create using only the colors black and white.  I decided that I would post two of my creations for you!

The first project I used basic black cardstock for the first layer.  I then selected the Hello, Doily stamp for an all over background.  The greeting has both a basic black and a whisper white layer with the Engraved Greetings stamp set saying Thank You!

The second project also has basic black cardstock as its base.  I then added a layer (1/4" smaller all the way around) of whisper white cardstock.  The greeting on this second project is from a stamp set called, Delightful Dozen.

Both projects contain the awesome 5/8" Satin Ribbon in basic black.  The birthday project is for my sister-in-law, Pam, who turned 50 years old on Saturday, February 18th!  Wishing her at least

another 50!!

Sweet Cake

Oh, if only you could smell this card from your computer!   Yes, that's right, I said smell!

The "frosting" of the cupcake was embossed using our new scented embossing powder!  Yummy is all I can say!!!

The stamp set is called Sweet Cake and  it can be found in the Occasions Mini catalog.  How about the adorable DSP on the bottom of the card?  That too is from the mini catalog.  It is a "specialty" DSP called, Sweet Shop.

My colors are Poppy Parade, Pool party, and Chocolate Chip.  I couldn't resist using my Big Shot to add some texture to my project.  I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder on the pool party cardstock.  If you look real close you will also see that I used the red glimmer paper for the cherry on top and for the heart under the greeting.

This is one of our club projects for this month!  If you would like to make great projects like this every month, then you need to get into one of my club groups so that you don't miss out on all of the fun!  Contact me today for details and a list of openings!

Language of Friendship take 2...........

I couldn't resist sharing this one with you all!  The stamp set using on this gorgeous card is called Language of Friendship.

Did you know that you can get this set for FREE with a $50 order??  Yah, I know I told you that already this week!  lol

The project was created for my recent class and was the favorite amongst the group.  It is very elegant and we agreed that it should be sent to someone that is very special to you.  The project was not hard, but it was a bit labor intensive.  The front of the card is embossed with the Elegant Bouquet folder for the Big shot.  In addition to the stamp set I used the Two-Step Bird Punch, the Boho Blossoms punch, and the extra wide oval punch.  Of course it had to be  prettied up with our awesome pearls and dimensionals to give me higher texture!

The colors are old olive, marina mist, and so saffron.

............... Until tomorrow!

Journaling with style

For all of you scrapbookers out there, here is a project that you just gotta have!  This is an awesome journaling tag that will make any scrapbook page come to life.

This project was done by Jenn B., one of my downline gals.  It uses that magnificent Everyday Elegance DSP, as well as our great sponges to make is a little grungy (to look old).

Did you recognize that the shape of the tag was actually cut from our Label Framelits?  The beauty of this product is that it comes in 6 different sizes.  Because of that, you should be able to find a size that is perfect for the project that you are working on!

Thanks for sharing something a little different with our group Jenn!

........ Until tomorrow!
