Happy Memorial Day everyone!  I hope that you have all had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday weekend!

Our theme for today's MDS challenge was "Memorial Day".   Of course I didn't have any pictures from this year's holiday so I had to go back through my computer and find photos that depicted by Memorial Day weekend!

I spent much of my time riding my motorcycle, hanging out with some great friends, relaxing, and remembering those that have I have lost and those that have sacrificed their lives for our freedom!

How did you spend your day?  Post your comments here!  I'd love to know.

Here are the most recent digital downloads!  WOW do I LOVE these!!! Of course....I had to have them all!

Hello Kitty Punch Art

Hello my friends!

Couldn't resist sharing some Big Shot and Punch Art with you!  I wish I could remember where I actually first saw this project...but I can't.

Say, "Hello Kitty"!  Made from the large scallop circle die and the 3" circle die (both for the Big Shot) this is sure to be a hit for all of those special little and big ones that are infatuated with Hello Kitty!  lol

Colors are Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, Daffodil Delight, and Basic Black.  Of course the addition of a little bling, bitty button and rhinestones, finishes it off!  The tag is the jewelry tag punch with the hello greeting from the stamp set "Tiny Tags".

This would be an awesome addition to a scrapbook page too!

Going, Going, Gone........

Hello my friends!

I can hardly believe we are on the final stretch of our annual Retirement sale!!  There are so many stamp sets and accessories leaving us in just 7 days!!!  I want to remind you of a couple of things that you may not know.

Stampin' Up! will no longer be selling individual markers for every color.  In the new catalog there are only limited single colors available!  I am STRONGLY encouraging you to look over your marvelous markers and think about replacing those with questionable tips on them while you can.  If in the future you want to replace one marker and they don't sell that color individually, you will have to purchase a whole color family to replace that marker!

As you know there are MANY stamp sets leaving us too!  Marlene (my assistant) and I have cleaned out the Stamp Closet in the Studio!  OMG!  I have LOTS of product to sell to you at bargain prices!  Your first opportunity to get this product is to come to my New Catalog Open House on Thursday, June 14, 2012!  Watch for details tomorrow of how this is going to work!

Also, SU! is NOT retiring ALL of the stamp colors!  We have a brand new formulated ink pad that starts on June 1st and they are selling off all of the current stock!

Introducing firm foam pads! They change your stamping experience for the better.
We know you’re going to love these new Stampin’ Pads—just look at all the exciting benefits listed below:
  • Provide better ink coverage for your stamps!
  • Light-tap stamping produces flawless images!
In addition, our new Stampin’ Pads
  • Create wonderfully solid images. The Firm Foam releases more ink onto your rubber stamp than the felt pads. When using the Firm Foam pad, your stamp will get an even, solid covering of ink that you may not have been able to achieve with the felt pads. Please note: if you are using the ink pad frequently you may need to re-ink your Firm Foam pad more often.
  • Have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off!
  • Come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, and German)--just choose your language, peel it off the back, and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification!
  • Use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist!
  • Are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors!
I have had the great pleasure of stamping with this new pad style (as have some of my club members!) and I MUST tell you the change is significant!  So much so, that I want to replace all of my darn ink pads!  You just have to tap the image lightly on the pad and it is stamps absolutely fabulously!  No ugly rings around the image!

Here is a project to keep you going!  A special
thanks to Rhonda W. for sharing this with me!

MDS Monday - A Day in the Park

Hey everyone!

This weeks MDS challenge was entitled, "A Day In The Park".  I originally planned to do a scrapbook page; however, I couldn't locate any pictures to put on it!   lol

I then thought of the next best thing!  When you are in the park, the first thing you gravitate towards are the trees.  Usually there are birds in the trees.  Last but not least...it is an enjoyable day.  These were the three things that I concentrated on when I designed my project!

The DSP that I used is called "Walk in the Park"!

Here are the latest digital downloads for you to purchase!

Mixed Bunch for you

Today's project is another of my downline creations.  Are you starting to realize that I have quite a talented group of gals with me?!!

This is from Brenda D. and it showcases the "Mixed Bunch" stamp set.  The card is very clean and simple..yet elegant!  It is a whisper white card with a layer of pacific point and another layer of whisper white.  The images are stamped with pacific point and the focal point is punched out with the Blossoms Punch and an additional blossom was punched from pacific point cardstock to layer it!  The center is adorned with one of our fabulous pearls!  Any greeting that you prefer can be placed on the front of this beauty!  I love cards that can serve multiple purposes!

Petite Purse Card

Did you recognize this purse?  I hope so!  Instead of using the 3-D version that you get when you use our new Petite Purse Die, I simply cut out the front portion of the purse, the closure flap and the handle to create a semi 3-D version!

The color is Calypso Coral and Baja Breeze.  I couldn't resist using one of the Summer Smooch fabric buttons for the closure!

The saying on the front reads: "I got something fabulous for your birthday!!!" On the inside it reads, "And I am thoroughly enjoying it!"  lol I used the stamp set, Tiny Tags, and the jewelry tag punch to create the 4You on the baker's twine tied to the strap.  The card itself is one of our pre-cut/pre-scored note cards!  I LOVE those cards!  Not to worry...they are in the new catalog too!  I created this card for my swap cards for the SU! Disney Incentive Trip.

Tea for mom

Another project for you courtesy of a talented downline member.  This one is from Megan S.

It is difficult to see from this picture but the card is made from very vanilla cardstock and then a very vanilla layer cut with the top note die for the Big Shot.  The layers are basic gray, always artichoke, and a layer of the Twitterpated DSP.

The stamp set is called, Tea Shoppe".  In addition, she used the decorative alphabet strip for the Big Shot to create the word mom.

I couldn't resist using this as my mother's day project for my mother-in-law!  She absolutely loved it!

Thanks for sharing Megs!!

Mixed Bunch Easel Card

A special thanks to Erin H for this great idea!  This was her swap card for our last downline meeting.

This is called an "easel" card because the fold allows you to prop it open like an easel!

The colors are poppy parade, island indigo, old olive, rich razzleberry, and old olive.

She used one of my favorite sets from the Occasions mini catalog (and now carried over into the Idea Book & Catalog!)  Mixed Bunch.

In addition to the stamp set supplies used:

  • Blossoms Punch
  • Sizzlet - Little Leaves
  • Poppy parade ribbon
  • Summer Smooches DSP

I couldn't resist sharing my monthly scrapbooking club layout with you all!  I am TRULY loving this new group!  We meet the 2nd Monday of every month and we have a great time!  I have ONLY 1 seat left in this group if anyone is interested.  If we have more than that...will have to start another group!  I'd be VERY happy to do so!

Here are a couple of close ups of my characters for you!  I used the Big Shot Scallop Circle and Scallop Circle #2 Die (which will retire at the end of the month - Get one while you still can!)  For Elmo, I used the Scallop Oval Die (which is also retiring!!)  Can you tell which punches I used on my characters???  Circles, Ovals, and more circles!!

Fenway Park Adventure .....

Happy Monday everyone!   I hope that you all had a fabulous Mother's Day!  My day would have been totally perfect if my trainer didn't think he was doing us a favor by canceling our session because it was mother's day!  I would really have loved a workout...especially with all the food we had! (Prime Rib, baked chicken, twice baked potatoes, broccoli casserole, shrimp cocktail, homemade chocolate cream pie, etc.)

While I was relaxing, I decided to pay with my My Digital Studio to create a scrapbook page of our Fenway Park adventure last weekend!  Here it is!

Although the Red Sox let us down by losing the game with a final score of 8 - 2, we had a great time!  We went in celebration of Kevin's 24th birthday.

We had awesome seats under the club level on the first base line.  We had a clear view of the whole field and were shaded from the sun.

Can't wait to do it again!

The bouquet that never dies........

Wouldn't it be great if all of the flowers that we received never died? Well, with our incredible Stampin' Up! fabric, you can create these beautiful flowers that NEVER die!

These were shared with me by one of my 3rd level downline, Bernadette S. from Danielson, CT.  She is a fantastic seamstress and she created these for swaps at our recent downline meeting.

These would make great centerpieces for a shower of any kind.  At the end of the event, each person could take one home as  favor or keepsake from the event!

Fabric isn't just for clothes or curtains anymore!  The sky is the limit!  These were made using our Candy Cane fabrics!

Are you a seamstress?  If so,  please share some of your fabric creations with me!  I'd love to share them here on the blog for everyone to see and admire!

Mocha Morning to you all!

A Mocha Morning to you All!

Morning everyone!  I want to say a big thanks to Christine O. from Moosup, CT for sharing these great projects with me!  I know that for Chris and I we are very sorry to see the retirement of the Mocha Morning DSP.  It is one of our favorites.

This trio was made using this DSP and Chocolate Chip cardstock.  They are 3 x 6 scored at 3" so that they fold up into  3" x 3" gift cards.

This is such a simple, yet elegant idea!  It makes me want to create a whole bunch of them!!  They would make a great shower gift for that special bride or friend! Who can't use thank you notes or gift cards?

Thanks for sharing these Chris!

Cascading Mother's Day.....

Morning everyone!  Have you seen the newest rage in crazy card folds?

This is called a cascading card.  It is made with 12 x 12 cardstock.  I want to thank Rachel B. for sharing this project at our recent Stamp-Patty' downline meeting!

I have another view and another sample to share with you too!

The project uses the Beautiful Butterfly Embosslit and the 5th Avenue Floral stamp set.  The colors are Wisteria Wonder and Blushing Bride.  This is a GREAT project for Mother's Day!  Don't forget, if you need a gift for mom, I would be VERY happy to do a gift certificate for you in any dollar amount!

Rachel sharing her talent with other Stamp-Patty demonstrators!

Here is another sample using the same fold technique!  this card features the Mixed Bouquet stamp set that was featured in our Occasions Mini catalog.  This set is being carried over and is still available for purchase!
