Holiday Ornament Scrapbooking Layout!

Hey scrapbook fans!

For those of you that think you can't use rubber stamps because you are a scrapbooker, think again!  How about those fabulous "Holiday Keepsakes Ornaments Stamp Set"?  I think they make a great focal point for this page!

I started with 12 x 12 cherry cobbler cardstock and used gumball green accenting.  The DSP is from the Be of Good Cheer package (another of my favorites!)  The "string" for the ornaments was cut from our silver glimmer paper and the "tie" is a piece of our cherry cobbler tulle ribbon just tied in a knot!
For the right hand page, I used the new Big Shot die called, "Snow Flurry-Bigz Die". I cut the snowflakes out with the silver glimmer paper as well!    The die is found on page14 of the Holiday Mini Catty!

Below you can see a close-up of those great ornaments on the left hand page!

Scentsational Season Candycanes....

Here is the third, or is it fourth, of my Scensational Season stamp camp samples!  I love the set so much that I just can't keep track!  lol

For this project I focussed on using the candy cane image!  I stamped them three times and cut them out using the matching framelits.  They are mounted to the card using dimensionals to provide some additional texture!

The card is whisper white and the bottom half is embossed using the new Lacy Brocade embossing folder found in the 2012 Holiday Mini Catalog.  The patterned paper is from the Be Of Good Cheer DSP package and the greeting is from the More Merry Messages stamp set!

................ Until tomorrow!

Special post for a special customer!

Sometimes I just have to break the mold and share something a little different!  Today I am doing just that!

At one of my recent club gatherings, one of my customers brought a stack of cards that she had recently created.  This fabulous lady creates lots of cards using lots of materials!

Carolyn D. shared her projects with such pride and rightfully so!  I just had to share one with you!  She used some of the SU! retired cardstock and some other supplies that she had.  She is fairly new to SU! and still gathering supplies.  I loved how she used the lace to border her greeting!!

Great job Carolyn!  Thanks so much for sharing!

.........Until next time!

Hot Off the Press!!! Don't miss out!!!

OMG!  As if Stampin' Up! hasn't created enough excitement with our product specials this month!  Along with our INKredible ink offer I now have BIG news to share!!!  SU! has just announced the following:

Due to our partnership with Sizzix, we are pleased to be able to offer a test run of the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine in our North American markets. We have 4,000 available to be sold only while supplies last. If this product test goes well, we may offer the Texture Boutique again in the future.
The Texture Boutique works with Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to transform ordinary cardstock, paper, metallic foil, or vellum into an embossed, textured masterpiece. This machine embosses only; it does not die cut. Because this is a product test, the Texture Boutique is not branded with the Stampin' Up! logo. It comes in Sizzix packaging and is the same color and design that is sold in stores. We recommend you read the included instructions before using the Texture Boutique and that you pass the same recommendation on to customers who purchase it.
'Tis the season of giving, and the Texture Boutique makes a wonderful gift for anyone who wants to create their own elegant embossed art. To help you with your gift-giving needs, we're offering a special value bundle that saves you $5.90. If you prefer, you can also purchase the Texture Boutique alone. Looking for stocking stuffers? Pick up some additional embossing folders.

Scentsational Season - Gingerbread boy and girl

Here is another of my projects from the Scentsational Season stamp camp!  I find this one rather adorable if I do say so myself!

Look closely at the Gingerbread kids!  There is a boy - wearing a bow tie....and a girl with a bow in her hair!

You may be wondering about he bow in her hair?  I created this using the small heart from the Owl builder punch!  Yup, that's right!  I punched two hears and using a glue dot put the end of each heart together.  I then used a rhinestone in the middle to make it look like one piece!

The card is made on whisper white cardstock with a layer of cherry cobbler and then another layer of gumball green and some of our fabulous DSP from the "Be of Good Cheer" assortment.  Using the scalloped square bigz die for the Big Shot, I created the start of the focal point.  It is cut from cherry cobbler cardstock and then a large whisper white square.  The gingerbread boy and girl were stamped in Soft Suede ink, cut out with the holiday framelits and then mounted with dimensionals!  As a finishing touch I added the cherry cobbler scalloped polka-dot ribbon!

Thanksgiving Decor Tray

Morning friends!

Hard to believe that we are already in the Thanksgiving preparation phase!  For me I am beyond Thanksgiving, wrapping up the Christmas, and already planning my projects for the new year!  (I know...don't rush it; but I want to be ready for all of your needs!)

Today's share is one I promised you!  It is the second of our Printer's Tray Decor class!  This month's theme as you can tell is Thanksgiving!  I am proud to say that this is my original design!  I again used My Digital Studio to create the top center piece of the tray.  All of the other sections use big shot products or some of our fabulous Stampin' Up! rubber stamps!

The DSP is from the Holiday Mini catalog.  It is called "Orchard Harvest".  I also used the Autumn Accents Bigz Die, the Cannery Framelits from Page 29 of the mini catty, and the woodgrain embossing folder too!  I have already designed the Christmas tray and will share that with you soon!

........ Until next time!

Scentsational Season - Gift packaging!

Morning everyone!

Today I have another of the "Scentsational Season" stamp camp projects for you!  This one is my favorite!

Using our kraft boxes (found in the big Idea Book & Catalog), I created an adorable packaging idea!  This particular box is holding a package of hot chocolate and a nipper bottle of Bailey's Irish Creme!  The box is perfect size for gift cards, cookies or other treats, jewelry, or anything smaller that you would really like to dress up!  I used a strip of 3/4" x 12" cherry cobbler paper as the wrap around the box.  It doesn't quite make it all the way around the box so I used the 2-1/2" circle punch and punched a piece of crumb cake cardstock and dimensionaled it to the front to cover the gap of the belly band.  I stamped the mug in gumball green and then wiped the "liquid" off with a baby wipe so that I could used my Espresso marker to turn it into hot chocolate!  Using my paper snips, I cut a slit into the hot chocolate to slide in a candy cane.  The steam was stamped in Early Espresso and is adhered to the back of the mug.  The mug and accessories was then adhered to the circle using dimensionals!  To finish it off, I took some of our retired Deck the Halls fabric and tore a strip from the fat quarter to tie around the box!

Stay tuned to the blog to see another project that I created using these fabulous kraft boxes!

...............Until next time!

Halloween Decor Tray

Happy Friday friends!

Today I am sharing the first of many home decor projects using the SU! Printer's Tray!  I waited to share this with you until my class participants had a chance to actually make this tray!  Our first class was scheduled for Oct. 29th but due to Hurricane Sandy...well, you get the idea!  Each of the class registrants received the black printer's tray and the materials to make the first month's decor!  In this case .... Halloween!

I used all Stampin' Up! product - stamps, ink, and paper.  I even used My Digital Studio 2 for the piece in the top center of the tray!  Each month the same group of ladies will meet to update the theme of their tray.  Stay tuned because in a few days I will be showing you the Thanksgiving theme that I created!

Meanwhile, on the homefront, many of you have asked me what Scooby Doo has been up to!  Because I am sharing the Halloween tray with you, I thought I would share a picture of Scooby with her Halloween costume!   ...... Yup, she was a warrior!  She is such an awesome dog, she doesn't even mind wearing a hat!

.........Until next time!

Scentsational Season - Trees

Morning everyone!  I know it has been a bit since you have heard from me.  Live is still crazy...when isn't it?! lol

I have been crazy busy creating projects for my recent stamp camp, scrapbooking club, and my upcoming decor tray classes.

Today's project is one that I created for my Stamp Out Domestic Violence stamp camp that was held recently.  Each participant received the "Scentsational Season" stamp set, the "Festival of Prints DSP stack" and made four projects (I will be sharing all of them with you over the next week or so!).  Three of them were cards and one was a specialty gift box!  The focus of this project is the tree image from the stamp set.  The card base is crumb cake cardstock and it was embossed with the snow burst embossing folder (which is now retired).  The trees were stamped in Gumball Green ink with an Early Espresso trunk.  I stamped 3 threes and cut them out with the coordinating "Holiday Framelits".  I also used the framelit to make a tree cut out on the card front.  The first two trees are on the front of the card, while the third one is on the inside and peeks through the front!  I used the scalloped edge punch for the bottom front of the card and the scallop oval and large oval punches for the greeting.  I finished the project off with a small piece of the gumball green striped ribbon and a rhinestone on the top of each of the trees.  It is difficult to see in this photo, but all of the christmas trees are embellished with dazzling diamonds too!  You can get all of the product that you need for this project on my 24/7 online store!  Visit it today!

...............Until next time!
