SU! Convention Highlight

One of the highlights of Convention each year is the sharing of videos sent in by demonstrators as commercials for SU! Events, Products, etc.  I couldn't resist sharing this year's winning Convention 2013 video with you all!  It is absolutely awesome!

It was created by a SU! Demonstrator in Canada I believe and she won a $250 SU! shopping spree for her win!

I'm sure you will find it VERY adorable!

Salt Lake City SU! Convention has begun!!!!

Greetings faithful followers!!   I am so happy to be able to share some of the excitement of convention 2013 with all of you!!!

Our check in day was Thursday and it was a different experience than the other 8 conventions I have been to!  Check in was any time after 8 am; however, no convention bag! :(   We were all a bit disappointed....however that turned around quickly!  We were totally surprised and delighted when during the general session we were all treated to the distribution of our bags in grand style!

Isn't it gorgeous?!!!   Can you say Gucci?!!!

The evening progressed with many more surprises and lots of prize patrols!!  We all got a FREE stamp set from our upcoming holiday catalog!!

I was able to catch up with my pal Dawn G.!!!  She and her husband Richard are so special to Paul and I!

Had to share a picture of Sylvia getting her first hug from a Stampin' Up! employee!  Can you tell from the smile on her face that she is having the time of her life?!!!!

We have had an opportunity to celebrate some successes too!  Dawn, me, and Brandy were able to walk the stage together to celebrate the fact that we are all going to be on the Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas ship courtesy of Stampin' Up!  We are all achievers of the 2014 Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation trip!!!  Woo Hoo!!!

Well, I gotta leave you now...gotta get ready for awards night!  We are all keeping our fingers crossed that someone from our group will earn something!

.......Until next time!

Great Salt Lake Adventure

Hey friends!

Have you ever wanted to explore the old West and see wildlife in action?  Well, I can now say that I have been there and done that!  The girls and I set off yesterday morning for a safari adventure!  We took a tour to the The Great Salt Lake State Park - Antelope Island!

The wildlife that we saw...in its natural habitat was sooooo amazing!!  We were able to get up close to several of them!  Some of my creature friends include the heron, california seagulls, mule deer, prong horn antelope, buffalo, coyote, and burrowing owls!!  What better way for you to know what I am talking about but to see the pictures!  Enjoy!!!

I know you are probably saying that these pictures are too good to be true, but I promise you...I REALLY did take all of these pictures!  The scenery was incredible!

......Until next time!

Spritzing and Splattering.....

Hey gals!

When you ready this post, I will be on a jet plane on my way to Salt Lake City for the Annual Stampin' Up! Convention!!!

I wanted to leave you with some inspiration while I am away!  I will definitely be blogging to share what is going on at Convention 2013!

Here is a great technique video for you!

One of our favorite products in our catalog is inexpensive, and adds interest to any project -- it's our Stampin' Spritzer! To use the Spritzer, simply choose your favorite Stampin' Up! Classic Ink Refill and add a few drops to some rubbing alcohol. The alcohol will help your ink dry faster than if you use water. You can get different intensities of the color based on how much Ink Refill to alcohol ratio. The real beauty of the spritzer is that it gives you a unique look each time. Before your spray -- check your aim. Spraying up close verses further away will give you different looks. Pushing on the nozzle quickly verses slowly will also give you different looks. Experiment until you find which methods you prefer the most. You can really play around to get unique effects. Be sure to include a pack of Stampin' Spritzers in your next order -- and have a happy time spritzing.

Until next time!

Au Natural....Sunflower

Do you have sunflowers in bloom yet?

Neither do I!  I'm not in a hurry for them either because that usually signifies the end of summer here in CT!

Regardless, I couldn't resist sharing this project with you!  It is clean, simple, and easily reproduced!

  • Cardstock - crumbcake, cajun craze, natural white
  • Ink - cajun craze
  • Stamps - Sunflower
  • Accessories - 1/2" Natural ribbon

I think this simple layout could be done in LOTS of different color schemes!  You could package them up and they would make a great gift for that special someone in your life!

Thanks for visiting!

Six-Sided Sampler

Hello everyone!

So thrilled that you joined me today!  I have a project that was inspired by a stamping friend of mine, Patty B. from California!

She did pretty much the same layout; however, her color combination was completely different!

Those of you that know me know how much I LOVE Stampin' Up!'s crumb cake cardstock and ink!  I love it paired with marina mist too!  That is what I did here!
The card base is crumb cake with the next layer being whisper white.  I used the new stamp set from the 2014 Idea Book and Catalog called, "Six-Side Sampler".  This set coordinates with both the Honeycomb embossing folder and our brand new Hexagon punch!!

Isn't the new chevron ribbon absolutely delicious?!!!  The first thing I do when I share this with my customers is pass the spool around and tell all my customers to give it a good rub and just feel the quality that it is in it!  It is so awesome to work with and makes the greatest knots!!

  • Cardstock - crumbcake, whisper white
  • Ink - marina mist, crumbcake
  • Stamps - Six-Sided Sampler
  • Accessories - Hexagon Punch, Marina Mist Chevron Ribbon, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I TRULY appreciate you visiting!

Chalk Talk

Hey my friends!

Do you love the look of vintage or worn out projects as much as I do?!!!

Today I am sharing a creation of my own!  This is one of my July club projects!

The greeting and its back layer are both from the stamp set from our newest Idea Book and Catalog called, "Chalk Talk".  This set is truly the very first set that I purchased from the new catalog!  I don't know if it is the images themselves or the fact that there are matching framelits to cut them all out that sold me on it...but it is the first set I purchased and I LOVE it!
Th card base is very vanilla and the embossed/vintage layer is created using the Early Espresso Coord'inations cardstock.  It is embossed with one of our new embossing folders and then sanded using the sanding block.   The images are stamped using Crisp Cantelope and Soft Suede.  The ribbon is a 1/4" Tafetta Crumb Cake and it is finished off using some of our fabulous pearls!

I'd love to stamp with you!  Come to one of my clubs and create projects like this!
