This One's For The Guys

Hey everyone!  Welcome to the Stamp-Patty's blog and most of all welcome to the SU! Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop!  This month is all about the guys!  I am excited to share my projects with you all.  We have a friend that is having a special birthday in a couple of weeks and I designed this card just for him.  Of course if I am making one card, I might as well make two!

I had to share more than one photo with you so that you could see the details that I put into this project.

This first photo shows you the whole project at a glance.  What you can't tell from this photo is all of the texture that I used!
I had to share this second photo with you so that you could see the corrugated crumb cake paper layer that I used for showcasing the focal point of the project.  I love glimmer paper and I especially love cutting our new Large Numbers with it!

I had to include a festive balloon for this celebration also!  This was created using our new Balloon punch that is part of the Birthday Celebrations bundle in the Occasions catalog!
This third photo lets you see the car images that I stamped as the background on the card base.  Yup, this special birthday guy is a car lover!  The car image is from the stamp set, Guy Greetings - found in the Idea Book and Catalog.

Before closing up shop in the studio, I created another card with the same products and layout with a different focal point!

I've included the shopping list for these great projects so that you can stop off at my online store and get your order placed!  Thanks for visiting my blog!  Please stop by again!!

Now off you go to the next on the list.

Stamper's Dozen Sketch Challenge

Hey everyone!  Welcome to another of the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hops!

This month we are excited to put a different spin on things!  We thought we would all create a project using the same basic layout.  This sketch was used as our inspiration.  As you hop from one site to another, you will see all of the projects that we have created for you!

I created this card for a special guy that has bailed us out more than once this winter!  With the very wet, heavy, and then icy snow we had last week, he arrived in the nick of time! Our 20 year old snow blower stopped functioning before we were able to finish the driveways.  Words just weren't enough and I know he likes being on the receiving end of my homemade cards!

Using Very Vanilla card stock for the base, I used some of the new Going Places DSP for the next layer.  I thought it did a great job of looking like coffee that was in the process of being stirred!  lol

My next layers are done using Marina Mist and Basic Black.

Using the Have a Cuppa product suite, I was able to use the awesome framelits to cut out both the coffee cup and the stirring spoon!

I love this layout/sketch so much, I have created a lot of other cards using the same layout!  Keep your eyes on my site and you will see them very soon!  I shared one of them in a recent post on my site!  You can see it if you click this link!!
