Prettying up the iPhone............

So Kate was home from school last week and, yup! I caught her in my stampin studio! She decided it was time to decorate the iPhone with some of our fabulous designer series paper!

She chose one of the patterns from the Timeless Portrait collection!

Now she has the prettiest looking phone that I have seen!!

Language of Friendship - SAB Set...

Just had to share this project with you. This is one that I created for a class that I held last month. Did you know that this awesome stamp set is one that you can choose for FREE with a $50 order? It is one that is included in our Sale-A-Bration program!

I used Riding Hood Red to create the card base. I layered it with a piece of very vanilla cut with the Top Note die for the Big Shot. The background on the top note is the En Francais stamp. I then used Early Espresson and more vanilla to create the focal point. The bird was stamped in early espresso ink on riding hood red cardstock and then punched with our Two-step Bird Punch. The finishing touch is our fabulous new pleated satin ribbon! I LOVE this stuff!

So they say it is the day of love... Why do we have only one day to celebrate those we love? I have shared many Valentine or "love" chards with you so today I thought I would share something rather incredible!This project was completed using felt for the roses and it is adorned with our black Satin ribbon. The greeting is from the brand new set called, Loving Words, from the Occasions Mini. It was made by one of the SU! Artisan award winners.

Hey stamping friends!

I thought that today I would change things up a bit! I wanted to show you what I have been doing in my "spare" time! LOL Twice a week I am attending and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Bootcamp/Training. Each session is 1-1/2 hours long and is extremely intense. After 45 minutes of conditioning/circuit training, our trainer decided we were going to do 3 minute sparring rounds! Here I am.... in all my glory! I am the fighter in the red head gear. I must tell you, we had a difficult time sparring with each other when we are all such good friends! We could NOT be mean to each other!

MDS Monday - Baby Shower Tags

Hey everyone! Happy Monday to you! For today's MDS challenge we created baby / baby shower tags! This couldn't be more perfect timing. I have a baby shower to attend on Feb. 26th and this is giving me a jump on creating for it!

I started with a background of Pink Pirouette and then added a layer from the Nursery DSP collection. The stamp images are all from Nursery Necessities.

This tag will make a beautiful addition to our gift packaging! I hope that she likes it!

Journaling with style

For all of you scrapbookers out there, here is a project that you just gotta have! This is an awesome journaling tag that will make any scrapbook page come to life.

This project was done by Jenn B., one of my downline gals. It uses that magnificent Everyday Elegance DSP, as well as our great sponges to make is a little grungy (to look old).

Did you recognize that the shape of the tag was actually cut from our Label Framelits? The beauty of this product is that it comes in 6 different sizes. Because of that, you should be able to find a size that is perfect for the project that you are working on!

Take It To Heart

I don't know you, but this is one of the brightest, cheeriest, and refreshing Valentine's cards I have ever seen! This project was shared with me by one of my awesome downline members, Megan!

It is using the the brand new set called, "Take It To Heart" which is from the new Occasions Mini catalog. The color scheme is so clean, crisp, and "Twitter" worthy. lol Actually, the DSP is called Twitterpated.

Pretty Postage with a vintage feel

Hey friends!

I just had to share this gorgeous project with you all! This is a card that I received during my downline swap! (Here I go again....not sure whose it is?!!) If I had a brain I would be dangerous!!! (I'm thinking it was either Megan or Marlene??)

The base of the card in crumb cake cardstock. It is layered with basic black and then the final layer is very vanilla. As you can see the edge of the vanilla was put through the big shot twice! Once for cutting that awesome edge and once for the great embossed line that follows it!

The stamp set is called Pretty Postage. It is found in the big Idea book & Catalog. In addition to the postage stamp the embossed rectangular frame was used and a piece of black cardstock mounted inside of it. The white image says "love" and it looks to me like it is on a chalkboard!

The "flower" is done using the extra large flower punch. There are three of them punched from the Newsprint DSP and they are in various stages of crumpledness. Of course the finishing touch is one of our favorite fork bows!!!

LOVE IT!

Fashionable Hearts Valentine

This great project is another of my downlines. It was created by Rachel B.

This card is a great showcase for many of our new big shot products from the Occasions Mini.

The base of the card is created with real red cardstock and then layered with whisper white. Across the center is a strip of real red cardstock that has been embossed using the new Adorning Accents Embossing Folder - Hearts. The bottom edge was scalloped using the Adorning Accents Edgelit die.

The Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die was used to create the adorable little hearts that are adoring the top if the card. To finish it off, the greeting was created using the Sweet Cake stamp set and then it was punched with the large scalloped oval and backed with a real red extra wide oval punch.

Who says DSP can't be a focal point?

All too often I have heard girls say, "I love this designer series paper, but it is too pretty to use." Can you imagine that?! Seems like an oxeye moron to me. Shouldn't DSP be pretty? Because it is so pretty, it should be used!

This card not only uses the DSP, but I see it as the focal point of the project! The paper used here is the Everyday Enchantment DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Added to it is a scalloped circle punched from pool party cardstock and then layered with a pear pizzazz circle. Stamped on whisper white is a flourish from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set - also from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. The stamped greeting uses two different sets from the Occasions Mini. The modern label outline is from the P.S. I Love You set, and the "Just for You" is from the Tea Shoppe set. Did you also notice the use of the Everyday Enchantment ribbon found in the Sale-A-Bration catalog?!!! Way to use those products Sharon! I LOVE your creation!

Stamp-Patty Princesses.......

How about this group of crowned princesses? I am SO proud of these girls! On Wednesday evening we had our downline meeting and as I always do I like to recognize my girls for their achievements. This time we did it with a little flair!

Depending on the achievement each girl was given a different sized and colored crown. Pictured at the left (and below) are Erin, Judy, Jane, Brenda, Sharon, Marlene and yes that's right, Scooby!

No matter how many times I tried to get the photo, Scooby decided she needed to be in the picture too -- as you can see on the right, we finally caved in and gave her a crown too!

Collectively between these girls, the Stamp-Patty's team grew by 6 new team members and they are the top sales achievers of the group for the October - December 2011 quarter. Missing from this photo is my pal Lucy! (That is the reason we had a tiara left for Scooby!) She was not able to make it to the meeting.

A special thanks to Marlene for preparing our make and take! Her project is showcased here for all of you to see!

This card contains a great technique that I would LOVE to teach you!! It is called Joseph's Coat!

This is one of the many incredible projects on display at the SU! Leadership conference.

I particularly love the color combination. It really does give you an Asian feel, doesn't it? This really is a genius design. Using and exacto knife or hobby blade, a straight cut is made along the top of the tea cup so that an actual tea bag can be slid in between the layers! This makes it a gift and card all in one!

UDI Color Challenge #71 - Blossom Punch

So excited about this week's colors! Any of you that know me, know that these are my absolute favs!!!!

Today's project shows a great use for our new Blossom Punch (found in the Occasions Mini catalog)!

If you look closely at the "butterfly" on this card, you will notice that it is actually the Blossom Punch that as had two petals --one on the top and one on the bottom -- have been snipped out!

The strip of black paper with the white stamped band is from the Fleurs de Rue stamp set! Of course the antique brad finishes it off nicely!

Leadership 2012 - Day 4

Wow! Can hardly believe that my time in San Antonio has come to a close! The last day and a half has been crazy fun!! Friday was the final day at the convention center and it was filled with lots of fun announcements and give aways!

Scott Neilsen - SU! CFO shows off his Salsa Dancing on main stage!

As I mentioned yesterday, we had a fun night planned and I certainly was NOT kidding! We started

out having dinner at Dick's Last Resort! Have you ever been there?

I am the only one of my group that had ever been to Dick's so I was the only one that knew what they were in for! Talk about FUN and FUNNY!!! Unfortunately, I can't share the sordid details with you as they can be offensive. Just know that we had a blast. After dinner we ventured down the Riverwalk and found a happening spot! The music was great and we danced the night away!

So when you are reading this, I will be making my way back to the East Coast! I will miss my time here in TX and I will miss my friends but I know I will see them all in a few months in Disney!

Our lunch today was a beautiful sit-down, hot meal. We had our first course of salad and then some great grilled chicken, fresh green beans and roasted tomatoes as well as homemade mac n cheese! You can see the fabulous chocolate dessert that was made for us too!

Our group of lunch mates grew as the days progressed!

During the final session, Chad, VP of Information Technology rode in on the stage on a brand new Harley!! AWESOME!!

How's this for an awesome bike?!!! Holy mackerel! Love the candy apple red the best!

Well, we are off to dinner now so I will have LOTS of "fun" pictures to share with you tomorrow!

Leadership Conference - Day 2

Wow! What a day! Early rising morning so that we could attend General Session at 8:30! Got off to a bit of a slow start but boy did Stampin' Up! make up for it! LOTS of FREE product was given away! So far I have 4 new stamp sets, rhinestones, pearls, the new big pearls, ribbons, and an MDS digital download CD!!! So glad I left extra room in my suitcase!

Lots of BIG announcements from the main stage this morning too! A brand new product was unveiled and we even got an opportunity to see it up close and play with it! In addition there are big changes coming to the SU! catalogs, product lines, etc.!

General session was followed up by a sit-down lunch of tex-mex chicken, salad greens, seasoned corn and chipotle ranch dressing. Of course it wouldn't be a SU! event without dessert!

Our afternoon consisted of classes, photographing LOTS of samples, and visiting with friends! We headed back to the hotel to have some refreshments, dinner, and then an evening of STAMPING!!!

Leadership 2012 - Day 1

Hey everyone! To say I am exhausted already is an understatement!! After several airplane delays and a near miss connecting flight, I arrived in San Antonio at my hotel around 1:00 am. After getting settled and visiting with my roommate I think I finally got to sleep at 4:00 am! When the alarm sounded at 7:00 I thought, Oh no, this isn't happening! LOL Of course, you know me...couldn't waste any time! Had to get to the convention center for an action packed day!

Yesterday was check in day, the day where you get the bag of goodies!!

The bag is made with some fabric that be in an upcoming catalog -- so enjoy this sneak peek!! You will notice that there are buttons on this bag--these "undo" and the bottom portion of the bag comes of and is reversable! while it is attached they are GREAT exterior pockets!

After our check in, we proceeded to the make and take area to sit and stamp for 2-1/2 hours! We arrived and received a BIG bag FULL of stampin supplies. There were 9 projects to be made!!! Of course there was no way to finish all of them. They were awesome projects and guess what girls....I have a new class idea planned for you! I think you're going to like it!! Anyway, when we arrived at the make and take area, we were pleasantly surprised with a special gift from Shelli!

This fabric portfolio coordinates with our bag! In addition an incredible chocolate concoction (which I am proud to say that I have NOT eaten!)

Not to worry, I am going to share one of the make & take items with you!

In our Leadership bag we received two stamp sets from the Occasions Mini; Mixed Bunch and Loving Thoughts. In addition we got the awesome flower die cuts in our make and take packages!

This card is much more attractive in person than I was able to capture in this photo!

After make and takes, I was part of a focus group -- sorry can't talk about the details of it!

For the evening we were treated to a private performance and the Lila Cockral Theater!

We enjoyed a great show with the Chinese Acrobats!

Good morning to all my Stamp-Patty friends! As you are reading this post today, I am waking in the beautiful city of San Antonio, TX!

Took a late flight last night so that I would be here in time for the Leadership Conference check in! I will be spending the entire day at the convention center enjoying the company of some of my pals from all over the US and Canada! We will be checking in, doing our make and takes, and I have been selected to be part of a SU! focus group! (Sorry, due to confidentiality, I won't be able to share the details of this great honor with you all. : / ) Tonight, SU! is treating all of us at a level of Manager or above to an evening at the Lila Cockrell Theatre to enjoy a performance of Chinese Acrobats / Aerialists! I certainly will share pictures of the day's events with you tomorrow!

One of San Antonio's most happening attractions is the Riverwalk. I know we will be spending a lot of time here! Thye great thing about this location is that I have been here before so I am over the hurdle of trying to find my way around!

I must say that this is one of my favorite color combinations! I really like how this one turned out!

The stamp set that I used on this project is one from our upcoming Sale-A-Bration event! (You don't want to miss this event!!!) The stamp set in the focal point is called, Fresh Vintage.

Using my marvelous markers, I colored directing on the stamp using the Rose Red, Basic Gray, and Pear Pizzazz. The greeting is from one of our mini catalog sets called Apothecary Art. The focal point was created using our new Framelits! Holy macarel, what a great addition to our Big Shot product line!!! I have created a video for you on this incredible product so that you can see how they work! Watch for it next week after I return from Leadership Conference!

MDS Monday - Happy Anniversary

Today, January 16, 2012, is the 35th Wedding Anniversary of my in-laws, Joyce & Gerry Chenail!!! I am so thankful that I married into such an incredible family!

Today's project is the Janaury page for the Chenail family calendar that I created in MDS. Every year at Christmas time, my husband's family looks forward to their Annual calendar gift! It is just as exciting for me to watch the looks on their faces to see what family photos made it to this year's calendar.

The other photos on the page are that of my neice Jacklyn. She will be turning 22 on the 29th of January.

Tea Shoppe take two............

After making a card with my Tea Shoppe stamp set, I just had to create another! This project is a take on the one that I posted several days ago with a slight change.

I have used the three small tea cup image (rather than the large one) from the set and I have also added the adorable brads from the Ribbon and Brad pack in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. (Pictured below)

I snipped the prongs off the back of the brad using the rubber scissors and then used dimensionals to mount the brads to the front of the card. I did this so that you wouldn't see the brad ends on the inside cover of the card!

The beautiful, vintage, designer series paper that is on the card is also from the Sale-A-Bration catalog! You can get these items for FREE when you place a $50 order (before tax and shipping) from January 24, 2012 through March 30, 2012!!

A Personal Touch.........

Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE the color pink! I was fortunate to have Santa bring me an iPad this year! I must say I LOVE it!! Of course I had to get a case for it and I because of Christmas they were so picked over that I couldn't find anything in pink! : (

So I had to take matters into my own hands and personalize the cover to make it my own! Thank goodness for the Big Shot and our colored vinyl sheets!

Rock & Roll Tea Shoppe

Hey everyone!

Today I am sharing a technique that is an oldie but goodie! It is called Rock & Roll. If you look closely at the tea cup, you will see most of the cup is in Pool Party and the outside edge is in Lucky Limeade. This is done using this technique!

How To:
Select two colors that are light to dark.
Ink up the bold image stamp in the lightest color (in this case the Pool Party) then using a darker color (Limeade), roll just the edge of the stamp all around in the Limeade. Stamp the image onto your cardstock and you should have a tye-dyed appearing image!

The stamp set that was used for this project is called Tea Shoppe. It is another fabulous set from our Occasions Mini Catalog. I have to tell you that I have had this stamp set since September because it was one that was left as a pillow gift when I attended Founder's Circle! It is so hard to have a stamp set for so long and not be able to share it!! I want to thank Selene K. for her inspiration in the creation of this project!

Bordering on Romance

Today's project is another done with our fabulous Occasions Mini catalog products. The stamp set is called Bordering on Romance. It is a set that is designed to coordinate with the new Adorning Accents embossing folders as well as the Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies. All three of these items are found on page 11 of the mini catalog. In addition, the focal point is done using the Framelits - Labels Collection found on Page 6 of the mini.

The project here is done with Whisper White, Soft Suede, and Regal Rose. I'd like to thank Deb V for her inspiration in the creation of this card!

MDS Monday - Oldie But A Goodie

This week's MDS Challenge is to use items from the "original" MDS software. Remember the saying, "An oldie, but a goodie"? Well that is what our challenge is all about! We can create beautiful projects from the basics!

Although the color Mellow Moss has been retired in our cardstock, that is the beauty of MDS...nothing ever retires!

My card is done with Mellow Moss cardstock and is layered with Blooms DSP in Perfect Plum. The stamp set that I chose is called Garden Whimsy. To finish the card off I used the grosgrain ribbon and bow in Whisper White.

All of the items I used on this project are from the original MDS program!

MDS Monday - Happy New Year MDS Style

Today's MDS project is one for saying Happy New Year! I decided that I needed to do something non traditional (you know me!)

I used background paper from the Savor the Season CD and then added distressed dots stamp in going grey. I layered the Hello Doily stamp on top and then added some Very Vanilla satin ribbon. I finished it off with a few stamps!

Wow! I can hardly believe that another year has passed! I am so grateful for all of the wonderful things that 2011 brought to my life! Many new friendships, great times with friends, and countless memories that make my heart happy!

Here is an awesome project from Laurie K. She sent this as her swap from Founder's. It was created with the Rue Des Fleurs stamp set and the brand new Sizzix Doiley Sizzlit! She used all of the SU! antique ink spots as well!

The project is finished off with the Victorian lace and vintage trinkets!

Rue Des Fleurs - Take two......

Yesterday I shared a sample made with this great new set so today I thought I would share the project that I made for the swap that I hosted!

This card is created from the best deal in the Idea Book & Catalog - pre-cut/pre-scored note cards! I used the Frames Embossing Folder for the center focal point. I then stamped the image in Staz-On Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched it out using the extra wide oval punch. I colored the project using the Marvelous Markers (which you can get with one of my bundles!) and then popped it up using SU! dimensionals!

Very simple, easy, and elegant thank you notes!

Rue Des Fleurs - aka Street of Flowers

It's a Wrap / Happy Birthday Paul!!!

With the Christmas holiday all "wrapped up", I just had to share a project using the stamp set, It's a Wrap - Holidays". This stamp set is great for creating a multitude of projects for all holidays! Let us all not forget the reason for the season! I want to thank Judy L. for this great card. Further on in my post I will show you a close up of the stamped image and explain how this was done!

In the meantime, I want to take this opportunity to tell you all how much your friendship and loyalty has meant to me this past year! As many of you know my family is extremely small! I have lost my parents, grandparents, etc. and as such I treat my friendships very seriously! All of you are my family! I treasure the time that we get to spend together. I am thankful that you all let me share what I LOVE to do so much! Thank you for being as excited as I am about our love of stamping, creating, and sharing it with each other! I look forward to another fabulous year as your demonstrator of choice! I know that you have other options but I TRULY appreciate that you have chosen me! Please let me know if there is ANYTHING else that I can do to make your stamping time/experience even more enjoyable!!!

If you look closely this focal point looks as though it is a piece of cracked glass. Well, guess what? The technique is called, "cracked glass"!! How is this done? Well here are some simple steps:

1. Cut your cardstock to desired size
2. Stamp your image on the cardstock
3. Once the ink is dry, cover the entire piece with versamark ink
4. While it is wet, cover it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.
5. Once cooled, apply another layer of versamark, clear powder and repeat.
6. After you have about 4 layers, place the cardstock into your freezer for about 1 to 2 minutes.
7. The minute you remove the project from the freezer, bend it and crack it!
8. After the project is at room temperature again, you can use a sponge or dauber with either our antique inks or an espresso or chocolate chip ink pad and sponge ink on/around the cracks. This will give it an aged appearance!

Saying goodbye is NEVER easy..........especially when it is to Stampin' Up! products that you truly love!! As you may recall, we are approaching the very end of our fabulous Holiday Mini Catalog period. There are a couple of products in this mini that will NEVER resurface!!! So, if you want them, you gotta get them now!!!

Stampin' Up! announced this week that the incredible Stocking Builder Punch is being retired! It will NOT be rolled over to the next mini catalog and it will NOT be in the next Big Idea Book and Catalog! So my guess is that the Stitched Stocking stamp set will also not be carried over! (This has not been officially announced - it is just my gut feel.)

Stampin' Up! has also announced that once their inventory of Stocking punches is gone they will no longer fill those orders! So, if you want this punch, you had better get it now! Letters to Santa......Gifts for those special to you!

I don't know about you, but for me it isn't about the gift as much as it is the packaging! For as many years as I have been stamping, my husband still can't believe the number of Christmas cards that I hand make, write out, and mail! (Hint: It is more than 100!

When I am giving a gift card or certificate, I want the packaging to be just as beautiful as one of my cards! **REMEMER** Gift Certificates are the gift that NEVER gets returned! I can do certificates for you in ANY amount! Don't hesitate to contact me!

Today I am excited to share one of my recent gift card holder creations!! When you have purchased more than one gift card for the same person, you don't need to create a gift card holder for each card! Why not make one that holds them all! That is what I did with this one!

I created a holder that will hold 3 cards! As you can see, you could also add envelopes to the left side to hold additional cards! I am hoping to create a video for you on this one while I am home on vacation next week! Stay tuned for that!

We had our 2nd Annual Chenail wine tasting this past weekend and I want to give a big thanks to my friends Craig and John at North East Wine and Spirits! Thank you so much for your loaning of wine glasses and the great items for prizes!

This year I decided that I would create wine glass name tags! This was for two reasons. First, so everyone would know what glass was theirs! and second so that everyone would know each other's names without having to pin on name tags.

I created all of the tags on My Digital Studio using the Savor the Season DSP! I then punched them out with the Scallop Circle Punch and a final layer using the X-Large Scallop Circle Punch!

So here is how the event works...... Each couple brings one bottle of red wine and one bottle of white wine. They are in a bag or wrapped in some fashion so that no one can see the label. Each couple is assigned a number (that only I know about). I created bottle tags too!

After all couples have arrived, we start the tasting! Each couple gets a note sheet to take notes on each of the wines they sample. At the end, each couple votes for their favorite red and their favorite white! The winner of each gets commemorative wine glasses (engraved with the letter "C" for Chenail) to take home! I also did the tags for these on MDS!!

Tied for winner of the best "red" this year was a red that I selected - Authentic Red - Gnarly Head, and a homemade wine from Jeff and Rebecca! The "trophy" went home with them!

As for the winning white..... I don't remember! I guess I had to many samples!

Don't be hesitant to use your stamping creativity in different ways! My guests LOVED the tags! Many of them took their name tags home too!!

MDS Monday - Christmas is almost here!

Today I am sharing the December page of the Chenail family calendar! For our challenge this weekwe are sharing Christmas cards...but I'd rather share the Christmas scrapbook page!

Paul's birhday is in December....the 27th to be exact. The Christmas photos are actually from last Christmas. In the bottom left corner is a pic of all of the "Chenail" kids! We have a family tradition that has been going on for 22 years now! Every Christmas, my mother-in-law purchases new toothbrushes for all of the grandkids. Each holiday we get the annual toothbrush photo! Last Christmas my nephew Nathan, who is in the US Air Force, was stationed in South Korea. He was not home for Christmas but thanks to the internet we were able to have him with us all day with the use of Skype! You can see him in the group pictures on our computer!

I wish all of you a VERY Merry Christmas! What are your family traditions? Share them with me!

Fabric Decorated Card Boxes

On December 12th I held the card box class in the Stampin' Studio. Ten stampers came to the event and two others got their kits to go! I just had to share some of the finished boxes with you!

I bought some of each of the Stampin' Up! exclusive fabric packs and the coordinating Designer Series Paper for the class. Each guest chose the pattern she wanted for her project and away we went.

In addition to covering the box cover and the index tabs that go inside the box, the gals then made four cards to put into the box! Pictured here is the first of the four card projects! All of the cards were made using the awesome, pre-cut, pre-scored, white notecards. The cards are what I call the best deal in our catalog!

The stamp set used for this card is called Upsy Daisy. The sentiment is from that set as well. We used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive for the colors.

A Scooby Doo Morning!

I'm always the first one to get out of bed in the morning. After I leave the bed to get the coffee and breakfast ready, I guess Scooby feels the need to keep my spot warm. I couldn't resist sharing my daily sight with you all! When I go back to the bedroom to wake Paul, this is what I find EVERY day! If only I actually had the time to crawl back into that incredibly warm spot! LOL

I think that she (Scooby) thinks she is a human! She will not sleep on her own bed. She wants to be exactly where we are! If I am in my stampin studio, she is too (ask my stampin' gals --they'll tell you that scooby is part of every club group I have! --If only I could get her to place and pay for a stamping order!

I also have a beautiful, simple Christmas card project to share with you! This card is one created by a member of my downline (wish I knew which one!). It was swapped at our recent Christmas gathering!

The card was created using Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, and Very Vanilla cardstocks. The stamp is called Dasher. This stamp was the number 1 selling stamp last year! The cherry cobbler cardstock was embossed using the square lattice embossing folder for the Big Shot!

Holiday Decorating with paper!

How about something a little different for holiday decoration? How about a wreath made of paper instead of pine?? That is what Sandy did! During our recent downline meeting, Sandy shared the gorgeous wreath that she created using the scallop circle Big shot die and lots of glue!

Not only are these a great Christmas decoration but don't you think it would make a great wedding decoration too?!!!!

Holiday Punch Card

I couldn't wait to share this project with you!! I had to wait however until after my downline Christmas gathering because I didn't want to spoil the surprise for them! This is the card that I created for my downline Christmas card this year. For those of you that couldn't attend our downline gathering on Wednesday evening, perhaps you don't want to look any further...because you will get your card in the mail and you may want to wait until them to see it!

I created this card using the 1-3/8" square punch and the triple layer flower punch! I LOVE the glimmer paper and couldn't wait to use it for this project!!

The greeting was done using the Hand-Penned Holiday stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Remember, if you like this stamp set, time is almost up for owning it for yourself!

Stamp-Patty's Christmas Gathering

Last night I held my Stamp-Patty's team Christmas gathering! We had a great time eating, chatting, enjoying some wine and best of all...stamping!! Special thanks to Erin for bringing a great project for us to stamp together!

Left to Right: Judy, Jenn, Sandy, Erin, Me, Rachel, Rhonda, Brenda, Sharon, and Marlene - All members of the Stamp-Patty's team! So sorry for those that weren't able to join us! We'd love to have YOU join our team!!!

After dinner we headed into the stampin' studio
to enjoy some time to stamp together, share business ideas and projects and best of all...have a look at some of the brand new product that is going to be available in the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog!

The card that Erin created for us was done using Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, and Very Vanilla papers. I addition, the DSP layer was created using the Mocha Morning paper. We created the "medallion" or "lolly" by using the Simply Scored Tool every 1/4". We then used the Laced Ribbon Border Punch and then folded and adhered our medallion together!

I had a GREAT evening and can't wait to get together with my girls again!! Our next downline gathering is on January 25, 2012 @ 6:30 pm! We would LOVE to have you join us!!! Join my team today!!

MDS Monday - Let it Snow

Today's MDS project challenge was to create a project with lots of snow! I created a card with a winter scene.

I used the circle punch to create the three layers of the snowman, as well as the eyes and buttons. I used the square punch for the hat and brim. I used the 1/2 circle punch for the mouth!

Of course I added lots of snowflakes! For the final touches, I used the torn edge stamp to make the bottom look like a snow-covered ground and the dasher stamp for one more piece of winter!

3rd Annual Men's Night...What a great time!!!

Wow! I must say, this year's Men's Night was my favorite thus far! The guys were SO much fun! We started the evening with lots of Bud Lite, Chili, Buffalo Chicken, onion rings, and lots of other great stuff!

A few of the guys enjoying some great food, drink, and conversation!

After having some time to get to know each other over a few beers and good food, we headed into the Stampin' studio for the real fun! I was so pleasantly surprised! They were really into the stamping! They each had to out-do the next. I set up the project for them in stations and they were really great about helping each other out! They each made the same card for their wives; however, they customized them to their own style! (I can't share the card with you just yet...as I don't want to spoil the surprised for the wives!)

Special thanks to my daughter, Katelyn, for the special beer run and
to my hubby, Paul, for the great cooking!

How do I know they had a good time? They all said they would be back for next year's event!!

Hand Penned Holidays

Well, here is a great card if you are looking to make lots of cards quickly! This project used very vanilla cardstock (hot dog cut) and a 4-1/4" x 1-1/4" piece of vanilla cardstock put through the Big Shot machine using the Snow Burst embossing folder.
The pine sprig and cardinals are done using one of the stamps from the Christmss Lodge stamp set and the Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler markers.

The greeting is from the stamp set called Hand-Penned Holidays and it is stamped in basic black. The card is finished off with a piece of Always Artichoke seam binding tied in a square knot.

Delicate Doilies in December

Hello friends!

Today I am thrilled to share a VERY simple creation. Sometimes it is the simple things in life that make us happiest. This project was inspired by one I received from Dawn O. while at Founder's Circle in Southern Utah back in September. The colors used for stamping are Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo (both "in-colors" for 2011-2013).

UDI Color Challenge #63 - Merry & Type

Happy Tuesday everyone! You know that means it is color challenge time!!! Here is this week's color challenge:

I'm thinking these colors should have been last week! They remind me a lot of Thanksgiving. I decided to go with it and to try to create a Christmas project using these colors. This is what I came up with!

I used the stamp set called, Merry & Type from the Idea Book & Catalog. I colored the ornaments using a blender pen and the More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, and Pear Pizzazz inks. I finished it off with some white organdy ribbon and an antique brad!

Tag, Tags & More Tags

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, it is time for the final pushes of Christmas! Here is a great idea for all of those holiday gifts that you will need to wrap up! Using the stamp set, Tags Til Christmas, and the scallop envelope die, you can recreate these awssome projects!

The box was created using the scalloped envelope die (two of them attached together). All of the embelleshments that are stamped on the tags are from the stamp set, Tags Til Christmas.

A Day of Thanksgiving!

Hello All!

I hope that your day yesterday was full of fun, family, and lots of food! I know ours was! After an extremely busy couple of weeks, I was fearful that I wouldn't pull off a Thanksgiving meal for my husband's family! I have had lots of stamping classes, Dr. appointments for both Katelyn & Paul, and a full work load at school!

Even though they are all over 21, they are still at the "Kid's Table" LOL

Got up early on Thanksgiving morning and Paul helped me to clean the house from top to bottom! I was then ready to prepare our feast!

After dinner, we all went out to the back yard to send off into the wild "blue" yonder some lantern "balloons". What an amazing thing to see!

Never a dull moment when the Chenail's get together!

I will leave you with an adorable creation! This was done by Karen S., one of my gals from RI! Thanks for sharing Karen!

This project was created with our tags die for the Big Shot, as well as the extra large flower punch (for the gingerbread man!)

MDS Monday following a CRAZY weekend!!! ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA!!

WOW! What a CRAZY, ZANY week and weekend!!! I am truly sorry that you haven't heard much from me this past week but I have been unbelievably busy! Both my daughter and husband have had numerous Dr. appointments, MRI's, etc. and to add to that, I had 2 stamp clubs, waitressing a steak dinner, a craft show, and being the official photographer for a charity football game involving the local police and fire departments! This week won't be much better as I prepare for Thanksgiving for my husband's family in between a stamp club, specialty stamping class, and oh ya I forgot... my full time job! Just call me looney tune!! lol

Today for my MDS Monday project, I created a card for Thanksgiving. I want you all to know how grateful I am to have you in my life! As you sit down for your Thanksgiving meal this week, know that I will be thinking of all of you! I hope that your day is filled with fun, family or friends, and of course food!

Here are the great men that were involved in the 4th Annual Finest vs. Bravest Football Game - to benefit women with cancer. This event was awesome! For the 4th year, team "FINEST" won the trophy! The final score was 66 - 52.

UDI Color Challenge #61 -

What a great color pallette this week!

Blushing Bride
Early Espresso
Soft Suede

Each week in addition to our color pallette we are also able to use either whisper white or very vanilla. I decided that vanilla would be my choice to add this week!

I used the Hello, Doiley background stamp and stamped it in the Blushing Bride ink. I then used the set called, Field Flowers. I stamped the flowers and stems in the Soft Suede ink. The verse is also from this set and was stamped in black ink. The finishing touch was adding the Basic black satin ribbon!

MDS Monday - The Colors of Fall

This week our MDS Challenge is to use the colors of Fall; specifically:

This is what I came up with:

I used the stamp set called Falling Leaves. The background paper is one of the patterns from Botanical Gazzette!

How about these adorable punch art projects for the top of your holiday gifts?! Or what about a little something for someone special?!

These Santa's were created using all Stampin' Up! punches! Can you guess which ones?

Punches needed:

Ornament punch - Beard
X-Wide Oval - Hat
X-Wide Oval- Rim of Hat
Large Oval - Face
Bird Feathers - Mustache
1/4" Circle - Eyes, Nose, Tounge, hole for ribbon on tag
Scallop Square - Tag
1-1/4" Square - Tag

Using dimensionals I created more layers that pop out at you! For the finishing touch I used small white pom-pom's on his hat and dazzling diamonds on the fluffy brim of his hat!

Pennant Parade - Friendship

Today I am sharing a project made with the stamp set, Pennant Parade. Up until now, everything that I have shown you with this set was for Christmas. This is definitely NOT Christmas!

This project uses the pennants for the sails on the sailboat. The greeting is from the stamp set, "Curvy Verses".

The colors are:

Island Indigo
Basic Black
Whisper White
Pool Party
Cool Calypso
Lucky Limeade
Daffodil Delight

This is a take on a design that I found online by another SU! artist! I couldn't resist a CASE for my own keeping!

Snow Much Fun

This project is a gift card holder! The one I am sharing today uses the stamp set called, "Snow Much Fun". This is ideal for the holiday gift giving season which is descending upon us quicker than you realize!

This layout can be used all year round! All you have to do is change the stamp set and greeting!

The colors that I chose for this one are:

Sahara Sand
Cherry Cobbler
Whisper White

Of course the finishing touch is the dazzling diamonds

on our friend the snow man!

The inside "pocket" is made from a standard sized SU! envelope!

Not So Seriously.....

Today's project is one that is a November club member project. I have used the layout before but this is the first time I use the stamp set. The set is called, "Not So Seriously". I bought it because of a great saying that is included in the set.

There is one stamp that says: Happy Birthday from the bottom of my butt"... and another that says, "Because it is much bigger than my heart!"

I got an awesome birthday card from my downline member, Sharon G. (I will share that soon) so I was inspired

use the stamp set to create something on my own. This card uses a couple of the newest in colors; Pool party and Island Indigo. I used Wild Wasabi too! The DSP is from Flower Garden!

Hey all! Happy Fall! This week our UDI color challenge was to use one of our own favorite color combinations! This was an easy challenge for me! I have used this combination so much for the last two months, you are probably getting sick of it! LOL

Letters to Santa - Wreath

I couldn't resist sharing this with you all! One of my downline gals, Sandy S., shared this incredible creation with me and she was willing to let me share it with you!

Using the Letters to Santa DSP, she created this fabulous wreath! I don't have the specifics yet but she promised to share at our next downline meeting! I will share with you all as soon as I get more info!

This is a great project for using up your retired DSP! We love wreaths for any occasion, doesn't have to only be Christmas!

UDI Color Challenge #60 - Button Buddies

Gotta love this week's color palette! Of course the photo that was used for inspiration makes it yummy too! lol Our colors this week are:

MDS Monday - CONTEST!!!!

Happy Halloween everyone!!! I have something a little special for you this week! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! As you may recall, last week I held my first MDS class. I thought it went very well and I received lots of positive feedback from the gals that attended. I decided (being a teacher and all) that I had to assign homework! It was the only way I could think of to make them go home and play with MDS and try out some of what they learned! Their assignment was to make a Halloween card and email it to me! So for my MDS Monday post this week, I am sharing a scrapbook page that I made AND I am sharing the projects of my MDS students!!!

My scrapbook page was created using a photo that my daughter sent me. She is a full-time student, majoring in Dance, at Dean College in Massachusetts. This past Friday they had their annual Halloween dance. She is pictured here (2nd from the left) in the bright yellow teeny tiny shorts! She tells me that she is dressed up as Kimmy Gibbler from the TV show "Saved By The Bell".

Anyway, now to share the projects of my students! I thought because they worked so hard on these that we should have a CONTEST!!! I need all of YOU to help me!!
